Oh and anyone who does that fucking annoying finger nail tapping on products should have their hands tied behind their back and cast adrift in a rowing boat

Absolutely, and the weird finger waving under the chin thing. Wtf is THAT?

Actually, while I'm here. What's with the irritatingly loud sound effects on video reels these days? There's just no need for it. I know you're using scissors, I can SEE them.

Omg asmr is the worst thing ever

As is the 'clock it' symbol that they were doing on love island

But the influencer nail tap might be the worst 🤢🤢

People who say 'hard agree, hard disagree, hard stop'. You can all fuck off, and if you dont like it, hard luck.

Oooo I haven't heard of "hard agree", I like that.

see what you've done, you've just spread a very annoying thing across t'internet.

daisychain01 · 18/03/2026 16:44

I don't mind people putting a comment in the chat to say they have to leave to go to another meeting. It's a little comment in the chat, you aren't interrupting anyone, and it's quite polite. IMO

what I can't stand is those bloody floating emojis on Teams and Zoom they are sooooo distracting! ♥️ 👍 floating across the screen, and sometimes loads of them exploding, it's ridiculous

MrsChristmasHasResigned · 18/03/2026 16:45

People who say "holibobs".

Old people need to be made more responsible for their own well being. They expect society to just care for them but don't do sensible things when able (like move to a smaller house they can actually handle). End up having falls and being burden to nhs and family as the won't accept care when it's needed. Nor do they plan for old age putting in poa etv. Government won't do anything as old people vote and no one will say anything as ' the survived the war'. Plus all their pensions are given protection no other benifits are. We give people all sorts of advice about other life stages, but there's very little out there about how to age well, stay active mentally and physically and keep yourself safe.

Allowing young people to vote from the age of 16 is a good thing. This would hopefully give more balance to society in turn making older people take on the financial responsibility for their care wherever possible.
On a more frivolous note, carrot and coriander soup=sweet dishwater.

Only children/adults are often some of the weirdest people you’ll meet.

People who judge others based on the number of siblings they have are some of the weirdest people you'll meet.

CautiousLurker2 · 18/03/2026 16:54

Gyms are toxic - full of two types of people: the ones that love themselves and gaze at themselves in the mirrors; and the one’s who hate themselves and avoid the mirrors at all costs ‘cos they are only there as punishment.

Deskdog · 18/03/2026 16:55

Those that boast about eating nothing but trifle and chocolates all day every day for the 12 days of Christmas are the exact same people who say BMI doesn’t work for them because they lift lots of weights…

Male and female - Builders' bum is vile; the workmen should be forced to wear waist-high trousers or underwear as part of their uniforms! The same with the shop worker builders' bums! I don't want to be going down aisle 3 looking for a pack of Cathedral City cheese to find a staff member bent over flashing their spotty, hairy, bare arse/g-strings!

The Osborns -Ozzie, etc., are absolutely awful, untalented and repulsive!

Bit harsh considering Ozzy is dead!

People who don’t have a tv are always insufferable wankers who go on and on about it. They always want to watch it when they come round to your fucking house!

See also people who don’t have a car for environmental reasons. They ride the kids around in their cargo bikes during the week, then spend the weekend whining about not being able to get where they want to go via public transport. JUST GET A CAR.

UserMcUserMc · 18/03/2026 16:59

I think this obsession with renewable energy and electric cars is absolutely ridiculous and dangerous for the long term security and economy of this country especially as it is an island. I don't care about carbon footprints and think it's a collective madness that future generations will look back at and wonder at the idiocy of people.

Deskdog · 18/03/2026 17:03

Lmnop22 · 18/03/2026 13:26

I often wonder why most people who do that public competitive under-eating thing are overweight.

Like, I obviously don’t believe you that you can’t manage the other half of your side salad because you ate last Tuesday so are still stuffed when you’re clearly consuming ten of thousands of calories too many weekly…..!

Edited

These people have an eating disorder. It’s the only explanation. They want to shame you for being so greedy as to have eaten a whole sandwich(!) while clearly binge eating when in private. I had a colleague like this. She couldn’t work out why she wasn’t losing weight when she ate porridge and salad each day, but then admitted she had 4 pints of cider and a curry most nights. Hmm.

Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed working in mixed teams but my one experience of an all female team was not enjoyable. No one was especially vicious but there was an air of faux-agreeableness, self righteousness and a bit of an echo chamber... Maybe it was the nature of the team and the kind of work we did as well, but it wasn't a dynamic I enjoyed.

I've found all female environments to be tough tbh 😅

Young feminist female solidarity me had her eyes opened by the real world 😄

Anyone who wears crocs should do themselves a favour and look into barefoot shoes. You can have the same level of comfort for every occasion, you’re just choosing not to.

I do say that out loud quite often though.

People who call every school holiday half term are uneducated morons.

I do this and it blows my mind that people get upset about it 🤣 I know they are not all “half terms” but I also could not care less

people who edit their posts then write “edited to write………”

Isn't there science that a proportion of people taste coriander as soap?

NO!! What about halloumi? You can’t leave that out……

It’s squeaky and tasteless. You may as well eat the packaging it came in. Halloumi has to go! 😁
