The ones who slow right down to go over a speed hump

They're swiftly overtaken by me in the fiesta

But you're supposed to slow down to go over speed humps. I never understand why this annoys people

I hate the phrase 'WE are high earners who've worked hard for what we have' when used by women with regular jobs or who don't work at all moaning about paying tax. Just because luckily for you, your husband earns a lot, it doesn't make you any harder a grafter or any more deserving.

People who call every school holiday half term are uneducated morons.

That will be me then 🤣🤣🤣🫣

LassiKopiano24 · 18/03/2026 08:00

That other people will like your kids/dog/cat as much as you do.

No Moira I do not give one shit that little Persephone drew a circle and no I don’t want to see a picture of your ugly dog

Iamnotalemming · 18/03/2026 08:01

Anyone who listens to their phone without headphones on a train is a selfish twat and should be put off at the next stop.

Anyone who drives up the arse of another driver who is sticking to the speed limit should pay higher car insurance.

The more I read about Mumsnetters’ opinions on sex and sexual attraction, the more I am convinced that a hell of a lot of married women are colossally in denial about the fact that they’re asexual or repressed lesbians, and only married a man because they wanted a baby.

The 1980s was a terrifying time to realise that you might be gay. When the realisation came, I imagine that many women rejected the idea and found love elsewhere.

Now that society is much more accepting of same sex relationships, young women having the same realisation might feel they have more options.

I would imagine that the same is true for men.

I think people who use fitbits, oura rings and other self-tracking devices are basic, boring and unimaginative 😬

Dragonflytamer · 18/03/2026 08:05

That people who claim they couldn't possible change job to earn more, are in fact just lazy and stuck in their ways.

Thepeopleversuswork · 18/03/2026 08:07

People who think the menopause/perimenopause is the cause of all their problems usually are in bad relationships but aren’t yet ready to admit it to themselves.

People who self describe as “introverts” are grumpy, socially anxious and wish they were better at handling themselves socially.

EmeraldDreams73 · 18/03/2026 08:07

People who use alot can all get in the bin. I'd like to see universal spellcheckers preset to ensure it NEVER happens! Drives me insane.

Limth · 18/03/2026 08:08

Couples who say they collectively enjoy or don't enjoy something which is, by definition, a singular phenomenon have weird codependency going on and should probably get counselling.

My old friends who think I'm missing out because I'm child free by choice. They are so beggy and sad desperate for attention on how great their kids are... it really does make me sad for them that they may actually be the ones who are a bit lonely 🙁

I AM lonely 😂 but I don't think you're missing out... having or not having kids is not better or worse, just different.

Oh God yes. I don’t think there’s anything controversial about that though.

YanbuOk · 18/03/2026 08:08

Most people are bad with money.

Casual sex is overrated.

Most problems with kids are due to their parenting.

I use my Apple Watch to give readings and information to my GP in order to assist with monitoring my health conditions. They are grateful for the information as it helps me to tweak meds and it is easier to do it this way than any other.

Freysimo · 18/03/2026 08:12

People who are obsessed with how many "steps" they do in a day. Surely the pace is more indicative of fitness? Pointless if you're just strolling. I've read the 10k Holy Grail was just a Japanese ad marketing ploy anyway.

SuperMarioToadPrincessPeach · 18/03/2026 08:13

If you can’t reverse your large car into a parking space you shouldn’t be driving a large car.

Making your cute little car your personality is just sad.

TinyGingerCat · 18/03/2026 08:13

People who don’t use headphones in public places should be shot on sight. See also people who allow their children to watch cartoons on iPads in restaurants.

B1anche · 18/03/2026 08:13

At gigs, everyone should be forced to stand in height order. I don't care if that splits up couples and friendship groups.

Nerdynerdynerd · 18/03/2026 08:14

No one (outside of immediate family) cares about your birthday party/wedding/kids baptism etc. Please don't bore me with the minutiae about colour schemes or offence that great auntie Jane hasn't dropped everything to come to your 37th birthday dinner.

People who go to Dubai on holiday have no personality.

Having poor mental health is not a choice but the only way out of it is through working on yourself. Medication can be lifesaving but you also need to put in the work. Something I believe and am struggling with myself currently.

If you do any long distance sport like cycling or marathon running I assume you're boring, sorry, you probably find me boring too.

SuperMarioToadPrincessPeach · 18/03/2026 08:15

Disney adults.

Lovesplasticstraws · 18/03/2026 08:15

Staycations are where you don't stay anywhere different and pretend you are in holiday from your own home. Holidays in your own country are not Staycations they are holidays.

Yes-I’m willing to join you in this good fight

ThatAgileLimeCat · 18/03/2026 08:16

If you let your children play on phone or tablet with volume up, or at all in the theatre etc, you should be forced to walk home barefoot on a path of Lego.

If you play your own phone out loud or have a call on speakerphone in a public place, the person who takes it off you and throws it against a wall should receive a medal.

All children's sport should be banned on mother's day , at least until 2pm so we get a bloody decent lie in and lounge around /doing what we want time.
