Nobody has prescribed WLI to a six stone ‘girl’

Enyastar · 11/03/2026 21:21

They are being traded online .

How do you know your Botox won’t cause issues in the future? Perhaps it’s a gamble you’re willing to take for vanity’s sake. Yet you feel entitled to berate those who take WLI for health reasons.

Im not shocked that is the point! You can do it and its clearly a thing.
Ive just found a site where women and girls are 6 and 7 stone and are trading these jabs to each other! It is an outrage!

aye right, course you did 🤪

What that got to do with your allegations about the prescription you managed to get.

People trade Botox online too.

But that’s not been obtained legitimately? You can’t base WLI off of that. Would you ban Botox because some prescribers don’t follow the rules with that? I know of a couple in my town that don’t do the in person prescription appointments, does that mean Botox as a whole should be banned?

FreshInks · 11/03/2026 21:28

There have been a fair few instances of botulism poisoning recorded in England, therefore I think we should ban Botox.

2Rebecca · 11/03/2026 21:30

I think weight loss injections are an experiment that we will revret. Loads of potential side effects and they don’t change people’s long term eating habits so no long term benefit. I am still not “ fecking furious” though and do wonder why the OP is expending so much emotional energy on this. Is she a journalist trying to get us all worked up? I don’t understand why she has skin in the game.

Everlil · 11/03/2026 21:32

Anyone else excited about the story breaking in the next few days? I think I’ll wait until the CH5 afternoon film version comes out so I don’t ruin the surprise.

Its a totally different thing. There is no point in arguing, botox does not cause a BMI drop to cause anorexia and ultimately fatal heart attacks and worse.
If someone is 6 stone and injecting this ...well.
Thsnkfully the regulators are opening their eyes.
Hopefully they will increase dramatically in price to stop this.

It’s so funny when people who have no idea about WLI spout nonsense about them.
Like any diet, they only work while you use them correctly. If you come off them and eat a lot, of course you will put weight back on. If you use them to adjust your eating patterns you have a better chance of keeping the weight off.

The side effects of long term obesity are widely known and yet these tenuous “side effects” of WLI are used as a reason for “concern”.

On every metric people who lose weight are healthier than those who stay overweight or obese. The loss of muscle mass can be easily dealt with, but if you’re choosing your preferable side effects, some muscle loss is preferable to cancer, diabetes and heart disease - all proven to be linked to being overweight.

You want millions of people to suffer with the affects of obesity because some anorexic women will buy the injections illegally ?

That’s not how it works. All that will happen is that prescribing will be tightened, which is the correct response. Why would increasing the price help?

You think? Because I’m only seeing prescription rules getting more relaxed, the data is not showing the cause for concern you are bleating on about.

I think you’re just one of those chippy slightly chubby people annoyed at people getting slimmer than you, you want there to be lots of fat people so you can feel better about yourself, I don’t think you actually care about the so called (rare) side effects.

Bollixtothat · 11/03/2026 21:38

And I got a bad dose of the runs one morning after consuming an entire 180gm bar of Cadbury's Caramel to myself, therefore I think we should ban chocolate.

Botox used incorrectly can cause botulism leading to difficulty swallowing, slurred speech, and breathing difficulties requiring respiratory support. So, by your logic, Botox should be banned

Enya claims to have paid an exorbitant price for her "starter" script.

If true, it doesn't seem to have put off the customers of her mystery supplier.

Agree, there is no point arguing with stupidity (and that is you OP), it will still be prescribed legitimately for people that need/benefit from it and that is what is important.

Bollixtothat · 11/03/2026 21:48

Do you work for Slimming world or Weight watchers op ?

Are you really concerned about these seemingly ‘ lazy ‘ women or are you annoyed because you feel you work hard to maintain your looks? You are obviously quite vain if you’ve already resorted to Botox? Perhaps those who can’t afford Botox should campaign to get it banned for aesthetic purposes.
