Perhaps day 80percent maybe even 90 ?

it’s just a way to get money and pay bills and live and maybe have a few holidays and treats etc Along the way

I just find it fake how younger generations are told they need to find something that going to make them feel so good

I love my job but wish it was more boring. Frontline mental health. Constant firefighting. Crisis to crisis. Things are never quiet.

I think you can love any job. I had a very "boring" factory job making Christmas baubles. Very repetitive but I absolutely loved it. The people were fun and the baubles were awesome.

A friend of mine had the same job. She said it was 'ok' but I would have loved a job like that!

based on your premise that most jobs are boring, and by the way neither me nor my husband think our jobs are boring, surely it’s not being fake to tell young people to look for something they’ll enjoy?! in fact it’s very very important. Because if they don’t think about it and explore they’ll end up in some kind of dead arse end job that they don’t enjoy.

The worst thing you can do in life is drift and fail to find value in what you do on a day-to-day basis. I explored options and pursued my interests from a very early age and never accepted being stuck in a rut or feeling dissatisfied with something. People can find interest and satisfaction from the some of the most mundane things, or what would be mundane from other peoples perspective. I have a lady who does ironing for me because I absolutely hate it. For her it’s her day job and she finds it very relaxing and she also does it as a side hustle because it just chills her out and she gains satisfaction from it. Ironing for a living would send me mad. Different strokes for different folks.

whether most people are motivated enough to actually put the effort in is quite another question. A lot of people expect life to come up and slap them in the face and handover its gifts to them. We all know it doesn’t work like that.
