To think it is inappropriate for a teach to have big fake boobs?

I picked my niece up from school today and saw her with my own eyes, my sister and her husband have spoken about her in the past. IABU to think this is appropriate in a school with impressionable young children?

I love Dolly Parton too but she is not a teacher. she is a singer and actress.

Is it only teachers that shouldn’t have breast implants or are there are others you feel should be added to this list? University lecturers? Nurses? Nursery workers?

And? Why does that make a difference?

Who puts a lot of time and money into educating people about the importance of literacy and education, and helping them to succeed. This, despite her famously huge and artificial boobs. Or because of them?

What do you think Dolly Parton would think about your hardline stance on other people's tits, and how they impact on education - teacher or otherwise? Once she stopped laughing, that is? (That could take a while).

Teaching our children to adhere to our standards is something we do in our home, we should not expect other people to live by our standards, and endorse and espouse them outside of it. For example, if someone attempted to impose your standards on me or my child, or to teach them their innate 'rightness', we would be having ourselves a lively little discussion.

mbosnz · 05/04/2026 12:10

Hmmm, incidentally, how do you feel about nurses having boob jobs? Who work on the paediatric ward? What about child psychologists? Social workers? Physiotherapists? Volunteers who work with children in reading recovery? Childcare workers? Police officers?

Do you think these people (including teachers) are paid enough that Joe Bloggs should feel entitled to expect or demand that they live by a set of 'standards' they do not necessarily espouse? Do you think they should be exempt from possessing and exercising bodily autonomy? Do you think we have such a glut of people lining up to perform these vital functions (including teaching), that we have the luxury of imposing such needless restrictions on those performing these jobs?

Answer me this: are you aware of the Teaching Standards that all teachers have to abide by?
Do you know what these rules cover or don't cover?

Yeah, strange attitude to teachers, isn't it?

ChampagneCharlotteLemonadeBudget · 05/04/2026 16:10

@OonaStubbs genuine question...do you think people (like me) who have had a boob job suddenly start wearing incredibly revealing clothing or parading around in some kind of way that makes it obvious?

As I've said previously I have a fairly high level professional role (NHS) and a PhD. I had a boob job four years ago after I lost a lot of weight due to a breakup, I'm 5'2" and a size 6 but they are a 32DD - fairly big for my size yes but they are exactly how they initially were naturally. HOWEVER I can guarantee that not one person would even know about them unless I told them...

pollymere · 05/04/2026 17:37

I was at a teaching event and my boobs were in literal shade to the vast bosoms of some of the Educators I met. All what nature gave them. I'm the same size as Dolly Parton...

I told them about the thread. I think they were rather incredulous that people exist who thinks breast size affects your ability to be an outstanding educator.

IMO there should be standards in society.

Quite right.

Women should be able to look and dress how they want and have breasts of any size without arseholes judging them and posting about it on the internet.

Now that’s a value we should all hold up.

I do, can this be the end of the matter, please.

The most mental thing about this whole thread - is that you’re not even a PARENT of a child at said school. You’re just a relative

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

But I remember my sister going on about it last year, all the mums were shocked into silence and didn't know where to look when she strode out of the school without so much as a by your leave with her new boobs.

This is one of my favourite posts ever. Can you imagine? Striding with boobs without so much as a by your leave!

You do know that that fairly antiquated phrase means asking permission? It definitely would have been better had she strode out without the boobs first, whilst requesting permission, and gone back in and got them once granted.

Out of curiosity, are you over 100, OP?

Hahaha 😂

This thread needs to end. Teachers are allowed to look like whatever they want, I have been suitably chastised.

Yet you carry on saying otherwise

Onmytod24 · 05/04/2026 20:08

Why on earth are people posting on this thread? It is a ridiculous concept. Everyone abuse allowing this to become one of the longest threats ever just stop.

Loub1987 · 05/04/2026 20:39

@OonaStubbs why do you keep responding when you say this thread should end? It keeps appearing in my notifications.

Everyone said you are wrong, what are you getting out of this?

I don't agree with it but that appears to be the prevailing opinion.

I only post on the thread when other people bump it.

It really should end. It has been confirmed that teachers can have fake boobs as big as they want and no-one is allowed to comment on it, as it is none of their business.

You don’t agree with the Teachers Standards? Someone alert the DFE!

I had a ring binder the size of the average house to evidence all the many ways I met them, back when I did my PGCE. Don’t be making student’s lives harder by adding “tits” to that folder.

Exactly.
You 100% should not be commenting on a woman’s body regardless of their profession.
