To think Kelly Osborne must have body dysmorphia?

I’ve just seen a photo of Kelly Osborne, having not seen one for years. I don’t tend to keep up with celeb gossip but this photo actually shocked me. She looks about 55, despite being only 40, and so frail because of how much weight she’s lost. She can’t possibly think she looks good. I think she must have body dysmorphia. I can see how growing up in the spotlight somewhere like LA, being surrounded by ridiculously beautiful people, where cosmetic surgery and being a size zero is standard, must have been very difficult for her, especially as she has been overweight for most of life. Do you think she’s able to recognise how awful she looks but is just unable to stop herself losing weight & getting surgery and she’ll never be satisfied? Or do you think she thinks she actually looks good?

I would never comment on someones natural look. She was beautiful as it happens prior to work done.

She has chosen to get these awful procedures which are awful for young people to see. We'll start seeing this form of self harm on the high street soon.

You seem to be deliberately ignoring this point when you replied to me.

But how many people commenting are genuinely ‘natural’? That’s why I said it’s a matter of degrees. I know women in their 20s who have Botox and lip fillers or have had surgery.

I choose not to judge what they look like as it is no concern of mine.

Wish we could all be as saintly and non shallow as Livia.

Kelly was on a show called Fashion Police with Joan Rivers. The title and the co host tells you what kind of comments she was making about others appearances.

Kelly should stop being a hypocrite about people commenting on her appearance, she was happy to get paid doing just that, plus stop using her father’s death to excuse the extreme tinkering of her appearance. All the Osbourne women have had too much time and money on their hands so they have made their appearance a full time job.

I’m not saintly but I’m also not joyfully pulling apart an individual under the excuse of ‘concern’.

Let her do her thing and perhaps don’t add to her stress by slagging her off on a public forum.

To hollow out your face, whether male or female, to the degree that it looks as if you have lost your teeth is self harm

I see it no different to foot binding or other severe body modifications.

I see the massive lips as the same as well.

This is harmful.

I am not concerned about Kelly at all. Her and her ma are good at dishing it out let them take it. She is gaunt because she has chosen to be, it isn’t grief and using her dad’s death is also not a good look. Any concerns I have are for any copy cats, young girls (or boys these days) who don’t have the money or resources to pull themselves out of an unhealthy hole like the Osbournes no doubt will when its time to look healthy again. At that point they will sell interviews talking about their issues. Meanwhile this “look” will filter down to the gen public, and with no access to services to get well.

The policing of the thread doesn’t ring true. People judge, or everything, let’s not say otherwise.

She's also been quite judgemental herself in the passed

People do judge, that’s right. I judge people who choose to take apart someone’s appearance, and claim that either they are concerned or they worry about kids copying. I hope you reserve an equal amount of vitriol for other dodgy role models.

I was brought up to be an individual so perhaps celeb role models passed me by.

Genuine question: why would someone choose to have so much fat removed from their face it literally looks like they have no teeth? I just don't get it. Is it an LA thing??

to look thinner, I assume.

Because they can. Nobody else’s business outside of that I think.

I just feel there are more important things going on in the world than the constant scrutiny of this woman’s body.

But surely the jabs make you lose weight everywhere, including the face.

XenoBitch · 03/03/2026 18:52

Kelly is absolutely unrecognisable from how she was years ago.

Her body and her choice of course, but the difference is so stark and I do not think she looks healthy at all.

Ihateboris · 03/03/2026 18:46

I think the people who have the cheek fat removal are already slim, they just want that I don't want to say sunken cheek look because it sounds horrible but I can't think of another way of putting it.

Like when you were a teen and sucked in your cheeks when getting your photo taken.

It's a fashionable look right now. It's just permanent which might be a downside in years to come.

Like my eyebrows. I overplucked them for years because that was the fashion at the time and the buggers stopped growing back. Now I look like a half-plucked, permanently startled chicken and bonus - I'm at the age where your eyebrows start to go wild, long and curly. And white. I look lovely. 😂

Not to the extent buccal fat removal does. Its a wild choice for someone allegedly so upset at the online criticism of her body to purposefully make herself look unaturally thin in the face (which it is by design). Unless...she likes the attention.

KimuraTan · 03/03/2026 19:03

Grief? And then wearing this dress to show off her skeletal arms 🫣

She looks ill, so unwell. Maybe some of the comments are giving her a reality check and she lays off the GLP1 jabs.

MyLimeGuide · 03/03/2026 19:07

She looks scary AF.

I don't agree. The billion dollar cosmetics surgery industry that preys on people's insecurities is a societal issue.

Insecurities that are going to be made much worse by this kind of thread

We are lucky to have you Livia, our moral compass, a beacon of how to live a decent non judgy life in these troubled times.

Kelly and Sharon had the most beautiful creamy skin. The lack of nutrition has ruined that. I always thought Sharon, before she went Too Far with the surgery was beautiful and Kelly was arresting to look at. The other sister was also beautiful- but they hate themselves so much they have destroyed their looks and no doubt their health. It seems you can be too rich and too thin.

Oh, that’s such a tired “argument”. It’s so hackneyed.

People can care about the Middle East and sleb gossip.

They really were stunning, I thought they were a gorgeous family, which is why its all the more shocking.

It’s 7 months since Ozzy died, and he had enough health issues it can’t have been a complete shock.

yes grief can take a long time, and is not linear. But if Sharon and Kelly are still so deep in their grief they aren’t eating or taking care of themselves, it needs addressing urgently.

whatever this is, it is not “normal” grief. I know many people who’ve lost a parent, or a spouse, including myself. 7 months down the line you’re usually living some semblance of normality, albeit with wobbles. Grieving to the point that people are concerned you might starve to death is not normal.

Yes this. A sudden death can certainly leave you so shocked and stressed that eating is impossible, but seven months after the not unexpected death of a parent, still grieving to the point of struggling to eat would be unusual.
I was expected back at work a couple of weeks after each of my parents' deaths.
