But not for the reasons you think.

I had wind.

Bad wind.

it was squeaky. People turned round. My date was not impressed. Curse you, kale and lentils. Curse you.

Well the moors can be windy.

Feetfingers · 20/02/2026 21:50

“Wuthering Guts”

chunkychoos · 20/02/2026 21:51

Withering shites

Well the moors can be windy.

True. But I’m in Northamptonshire.

Could have been one of those sensory "4D" films like at the imax. Blame Heathcliff, I would

HugoThatway · 20/02/2026 21:55

Wuthering Tights

DuchessofStaffordshire · 20/02/2026 21:58

Judging by the reviews I've seen so far it could only have improved the experience.
Have you suddenly increased your fibre intake?

BMW6 · 20/02/2026 21:59

Who risks eating kale and lentils before a trip out ???

StopWindingBobStopWinding · 20/02/2026 22:00

I gather you aren’t the only one blowing raspberries at this film. Granted, most of aren’t doing it in the theatre in real time, but all feedback is, I’m sure, welcome.

Who risks eating kale and lentils before a trip out ???

This! 😂 What were you thinking?

You mention a 'date'. Is this someone you've known for long?

gollygoshh · 20/02/2026 22:01

Shuddering Tights

Gribouille · 20/02/2026 22:03

Were you out on the wily, windy moors?

HugoThatway · 20/02/2026 22:06

I saw a review and the reviewer thought it was brilliant. All the other reviews I've seen were negative.

Shuddering Tights

Just burned my nose snorting my tea at this, 11/10

halftermhalfawake · 20/02/2026 22:10

Kale force winds ont' moors

Vaguelyclassical · 20/02/2026 22:16

You are being unreasonable for eating kale. No sane person should eat kale. Kale is the plant form of rubber.

LyndaSnellsSniff · 20/02/2026 22:17

It's a very...squelchy film so I'm not sure I'd have even noticed any additional gusting.

darkchocolatebounty · 20/02/2026 22:22

Beardycapri · 20/02/2026 21:52

True. But I’m in Northamptonshire.

I think she was making a joke about the film…

Dappy777 · 20/02/2026 22:22

Doubt you missed much. TV and film adaptations are usually rubbish. The only good ones I can think of are the TV adaptations of I Claudius and Brideshead Revisited. Oh, and the adaptations of Bleak House and Cranford were good as well. In general though, it’s better to just read the book (especially nowadays, when everyone’s more concerned with inclusivity than quality or accuracy).

Fishpieandchips · 20/02/2026 22:22

Id describe this film as moist. If your wind matched it could have been a disaster!

Who risks eating kale and lentils before a trip out ???

And on a date ... 😂

McSteamyorMcdreamy · 20/02/2026 22:36

Arghhhh. I'm fed up of hearing the shit reviews of an absolute classic. Yes, the NOVEL was an absolute classic but the film was never sold as an authentic page by page adaptation of it. Hence the "Wuthering Heights".

To get back to the main point though OP, not the best pre film selection no matter what you are going to see!
