Are you now more likely to vote for REFORM (the party)

NC for this and apologies if Q already asked. My quick search yielded no result.

Reform plan to undo the reversal of 2 child cap benefit. Are you now likely (or more likely) to vote for them? There have been endless threads about the welfare bill.

Never.
ever.
And anyone who can envision a life without the NHS or imagine themselves or a loved one becoming disabled should reflect on what they’d introduce.
Same for BAME employees.
Same for women.
Ok so they might try to refuse calling trans people by their chosen names or whatever… but at what (enormous) price on every other aspect of life.
I guess they think they’ll stop the millionaires leaving the UK.. as if!!!
But never in a million years would I vote for them.

Dragonscaledaisy · 18/02/2026 17:34

I agree with reinstating the cap but it would have no bearing on how I vote.

I agree with reinstating the cap, and it will have some bearing on how I vote, but I still can't vote reform.

Sirzy · 18/02/2026 14:50

I would vote for the Monster Raving Loony party before even considering voting for reform.

This!

Reform are blaming all problems on immigrants. It must be the oldest trick in the book and one that Hitler used to great success.

Selenassunsetsangria · 18/02/2026 16:23

When Labour got in, people went to such places as Dubai. If Reform get in where will people go?

I don't have the answer hence the question. Wondering what the outcome would be.

Nowhere?
On a downward spiral?
Or leaving the UK.?

Take your pick.

Isthatsoandso · 18/02/2026 17:44

Urgh . I would rather pierce my eyes out with a rusty tin opener than vote Reform. They are nasty grifters.

Ediblechalk · 18/02/2026 17:50

I’m voting Reform. I’m basically a one issue voter, with the one issue being reversing the children’s education and vocational training tax that Labour implemented . All the parties outside Labour, Greens and the SNP have said they’ll reverse it but Reform is the best way to make my vote count in my area. Outside of that, Reforms outlook is very pro growth and they’re making all right noises on sensible taxation. Quite excited about it to be honest.

Mumsnetters are largely female and educated so not really the target market.

How very rude and ignorant.
I feel ashamed of every woman who votes Labour -the party who don’t know what a woman is and certainly don’t support white girls and women with their abhorrent voting against a public enquiry into the Muslim Rape Gangs,
How educated is a woman who votes with a party that hates women and girls and cares not a jot about their safety??

Not if they were the last party on earth. Comprised of the worst and most useless rejects from the Tory party.

LizzieSiddal · 18/02/2026 17:58

I would NEVER vote reform no matter what they “promised”. I actually have hatred for Nigel Farage and his racism and lies. The Uk is a worse place because of him and his Brexit project.

TeenLifeMum · 18/02/2026 18:00

No - dh and I would have hideous jobs under reform and likely lose our jobs as they don’t value communications

I think you’ll find the poster was referring to the evidence about reform voters less likely to be academically intelligent and educated to university level. Not being rude, just factually accurate based on latest stats.

Mingspingpongball · 18/02/2026 18:02

Let’s remember that Reform can’t:
Make undocumented men, women or children be removed from the UK any easier than any other party can - the host/home State won’t issue travel documents then that person won’t be on a flight - airlines won’t carry them and boats/ships ditto.
Reform hasn’t suggested leaving the Refugee Convention- the Convention that permits people to seek asylum.
Removal from any Convention takes over a year and requires parliamentary support.
Reform says it will leave the ECHR but NOT the current UK Human Rights Act - the one that permits freedom of expression, freedom to not be tortured, the right to life etc.
Reform stating it will require “proof” for mental health conditions to “get cash for disabilities” already exists.
Reform explicitly says it wants to invest in AI (you know the thing that allowed people to “undress” images that Farage guffawed about in parliament.
Reform has not commented (yet) on Universal Credit but wants to cut the minimum wage increase.
Reform wants to tax childless women more. Not childless men.

TheCriticalThinker · 18/02/2026 16:46

Labour - totally incompetent and embarrassing

Tories - quite like Kemi but can't forgive for the past

Reform - don't like Nigel or the Tory defectors

Green / Lib Dems / SNP / Plaid / Your Party - They all say that men can become women

I'm politically homeless and kind of hate all the parties these days

I’ve decided I have to vote for whoever I hate the least, but it’s a tough choice.

HoskinsChoice · 18/02/2026 18:06

I wouldn't vote for reform if they offered me a lifetime supply of chocolate and a free puppy. And I bloody love chocolate and puppies! There is literally nothing the racist, politically inept groomers could offer me.

yellowspanner · 18/02/2026 18:08

Yes I will vote for reform and my friends tell
me they will as well. This Labour govt is incompetent and was trying to cancel elections until they discovered it was illegal .... and two tier kier is a lawyer.

Mingspingpongball · 18/02/2026 18:09

@yellowspanner
I hope you are very wealthy!

yellowspanner · 18/02/2026 18:10

And I have a professional job and post grad qualification .... so not undereducated or stupid

yellowspanner · 18/02/2026 18:11

Mingspingpongball · 18/02/2026 18:09

Thank you but I'll never be wealthy with the level of taxation this govt has brought in

TheJustJoker · 18/02/2026 18:12

Hell no.

Scoobydoobydoo19 · 18/02/2026 18:13

If I had a gun to my head in the ballot box, I'd pick the gun.

Delaying, not cancelling.

Mingspingpongball · 18/02/2026 18:15

@yellowspanner
You won’t with Reform either.. where have you seen them suggesting cutting tax rates for middle earners? Or even the top earners (and not wealthy businesses)?
Obviously vote as you see fit but .. on taxation ? Reform really hasn’t indicated the UK taxpayer will pay less…
More individual payments for the NHS - that. So you might assume that means they’ll cut tax for “everyone “.
but where have they said that?
They want to tax childless women more (but not childless men), so that gives a taste of what they’ll do

Would you like to provide a link to show how Labour/Lib dem/Green voters are more intelligent than Reform /Conservative voters?

heathspeedwell · 18/02/2026 18:16

I don't think many people on Mumsnet are stupid enough to vote Reform.

Most of us can do reading and writing. More importantly we can do research.
