AIBU to Serve Pancakes as Dinner Tonight?

It’s Shrove Tuesday, DS finishes at holiday club soon and I don’t think anyone is going to eat an entire dinner AND pancakes this evening so thinking of doing pancakes with a few healthy ‘bits’ on the side, possibly a few savoury pancakes. Lazy or justified?

I’m so shocked… growing up we always had pancakes after a normal dinner on pancake day. I thought that was normal so have just carried on doing that!

It's a one off. We had sweet pancakes for tea (and I didn't put healthy bits on the side either). My mum used to do it, it was the one night we got "dessert" for tea so we loved it. Yanbu.

That's what I did tonight. Everyone loves it, it's a celebration. Not laziness at all.

We had savoury Dutch pancakes, with cheese and crispy fried onions. DS had one with raspberries, butter, and sugar as well.

I thought it was normal to have pancakes for dinner! I found my pancake mix was 15 months out of date. And my smoke alarm is in working order. 😂

I feel I’ve been missing out all these years! This thread has been enlightening (and thank you for your patience on what I’m realising is now an obvious question)
