This only works if they’re in power, they’re not in yet.

They hold some councils. And all their fuck-ups of those councils is “Labour’s fault”.

I predict that will continue when Reform achieves power. Much as all of Trump’s failures are the Democrats fault.

You mean 'if' presumably - and that will be down to Labour's performance over the next 3 years.

No one cares what you're talking about. I'm discussing accountability and blame.

Well you cared enough to quote me and respond so….

No I mean “when”.

And here is that lack of ownership for one’s choices.

If Reform does get to form a government, a lot of their voters will get a big shock when they realise what they have actually voted for. No NHS will disproportionately affect Reform voters (older, in low paid jobs or unemployed, in poor health) and mass deportations of foreigners won't make Reform voters' lives any better although they may get a very transient thrill from revelling in the suffering of people they deem unworthy.

Reform politicians have shown no aptitude for running councils and they have delivered some of the highest council tax increases.

Farage is a grifter rather than a grafter. He will love being Prime Minister but will be too lazy to do the work. It will all be an utter shit show.

Not to mention the effect slashing benefits will have on Reform voters.

Do you mean Reform are definitely getting in at the next GE, in your opinion

100% this - can't stand the guy & he now plans on getting rid of the Equalities Act.

However, Reform are now on 24% support, not good enough to win.

Remarkable that the Tories are doing so badly, on just 18%, below Labour, who have hardly had a stella few weeks.

And Labour? Are we going to hear in a minute they are heading for victory?

Sorry see your post now edited.

Complete nonsense. Labour in Wales have whined on endlessly over the years trying to blame the Tories for their complete destruction of the country. Let's hope the Welsh finally see some sense and get rid of them in May.

Labour will be in a Plaid Cymru-led coalition by the looks of things. It is very exciting.☺️

Well, i know that would really float your boat but if the Tories and Reform cannot get substantially ahead of Labour now, then its possible Labour will at the very least stay in via a coalition.

Wouldn't you be pleased? 😂

Problem both Reform and the Tories have is Brexit, more and more people think we made a huge mistake leaving and who is to blame for Brexit......?

Going by Labour’s current performance (in fact going on their performance ever since they were elected), a vanishingly unlikely scenario.

Then why aren't the Cons ahead? and why is Reforms popularity falling?

3.5 years is a very long time in politics, a great deal can happen, either way, the result of the next GE is by no means a foregone conclusion.

I'm sure it is if you live in Wales. Starmer wasn't joking when he said he would use Wales as blueprint. I wonder how long it will take him to drag the rest of the UK down to the level of Wales. He's certainly making great progress in that regard.

kundalini7 · 17/02/2026 19:39

Farage doesn't want to be PM. He would actually be held to account then. He would instantly resign if elected, just as he resigned from politics immediately after Brexit. He is just an antagonist - all mouth, no substance, and well he knows it. Vile individual.

If 3.5 years is such a long time what relevance do the polls you keep posting have?

I think that going from around 33/34% just a few months ago to 24% is very relevant, as is Badenoch's complete failure to boost the Cons rating.

"The rest of the UK". Do you live in the UK?

I thought Reform was full of grifters what the hell is Restore? Plus, they both sound like plastic surgery clinics.

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 17/02/2026 15:21

Yeah, I reckon Farage may have done a deal with Jenrick. There is no way that Farage actually wants to be PM, whereas Jenrick wants that desperately. I suspect that was part of the deal when he defected.

Whether the electorate will want Jenrick as PM is rather a different matter.

Especially given the terrible few weeks Labour has had. You'd expect either Reform or the Tories to have benefited. But no. Labour's vote share hasn't suffered, it seems.

Tbh, his personality and his politics are so repulsive that I would find it hard to provide an objective assessment of his appearance.

If handsome is as handsome does, then Robert Jenrick is exceptionally ugly.
