Inspired by a clip I just saw on Instagram.

Deep breath.

Here goes.

Robin Williams wasn’t particularly funny.

ETA “Start” obviously.

Cinnamon ruins the taste of anything.

Beatles are boring!? Have people who say this stuff actually listened to Revolver/The White Album. I doubt it. As for Queen being overhyped, yeah I’ll agree with that. Freddie Mercury was some front man though.

I don’t find Morecambe and Wise funny. I also don’t find stand mixers very helpful.

I saw Paris Lees at a tube station in London not that long ago. Unmistakably male IRL, and he's a big bloke - pushing 6 foot and broad shouldered. There may well be men who find that attractive, but they're not straight. There are some men who have a specific sexual interest in men who are pretending to be women, it's a thing.

I find that many trans identified males who look 'passable' in heavily filtered and edited photos don't at all when they're in motion either in real life or on videos. I can make myself look like a Barbie in photos too but not in motion.

Trans identified females also can look 'passable' in photos but in real life tend to be very small and unmistakably female despite the benefits of testosterone. You of course can get small men but they don't tend to look like girls who have taken testosterone. The two youngest trans identified females I know (both lesbians, who'd have thought) have still been on T for years despite their ages and still look, at best, like trans identified females.

Doesn't stop people thinking it.

No but like a lot of things somethings are best left unsaid .

If autism were detectable on a scan during pregnancy in the same way many other conditions are, many women would opt to abort.

Is that an unpopular opinion?

Yep. Carefully posed photos and filters have done a LOT of heavy lifting in terms of promoting the idea that it's easy to hide your true sex.

Michael McIntyre is funny

Making "drugs" illegal is counterproductive.

A psychedelic experience under the guidance of a wise elder would be a useful initiation into adulthood.

Agree but I find a lot of 1970,s comedians very unfunny now.

Unpopular with quite a lot, I should think. It cannot be pleasant, if you’re the parent of an autistic child, to think that many people would have terminated their pregnancy if they had been told there was a risk their child would turn out like yours.

David Attenborough is a hypocritical old bore.

Are you my DD who despises him and his overly dramatic voice overs when the animal dies, or doesn't, but does very nearly!

On the other hand, some parents with autistic children wish they'd known in advance and abortion had been an option.

So you have never met a transwoman and not known they were a transwoman?

Anticipating response: "Oh no I've clocked them straight away"

I'm going to repeat this (as I'd love to hear anyone try and counter it, you won't), it's delusional to think transwomen are not passable or attractive to straight men. The fact is many transwomen are told to be honest about their status before they become intimate with men; if they were not passable or able to attract straight men then having to be honest (or come clean) wouldn't be a thing, their status would be known, but obviously that is not the case.

The fact that porn-addled men (or indeed men in general) might not be nearly as good as women at telling the difference between a transwoman and an actual woman has absolutely no bearing on the fact that a man who is knowingly attracted to a person with a penis (i.e. a man) is not straight.

I have seen a scant few transwomen who pretty much pass in (no doubt photoshopped / filtered) pictures online. I seriously doubt I've seen any who passed irl or on video.

Its the same as any disability though many peoole say they would terminate for Down syndrome ,so why not for autism ,im the parent of severely autistic non verbal teen and as unpalatable as it is for me personally I do believe in pro choice.

There’d be far less autistic children if it was detectable in the womb.

Not in my house (3, possibly 4 autistic children)

David Attenborough is a hypocritical old bore.

I wouldn't call him hypocritical at all, or an old bore.

There is, however, an interesting philosophical dilemma involved in the picture of the natural world that his wildlife documentaries present.

The lives of wild animals are shown as pretty much relentlessly harsh and tragic, involving so much suffering and struggle.

And yet the message is that all this should be conserved. Some (such as anti-natalists) might argue that it would be a kindness for them all to go extinct.

It's the same with Down Syndrome except that is possible to know before birth and 90% who get a prenatal diagnosis do abort.

I'm not a fan of these elaborate desserts that some restaurants do. Just give me something basic like rice pudding

Absolutely. Autism is a condition that very often results in despair and unhappiness, for the autistic person themselves, and the people around them.
