Does anyone think this is weird and that there's more to the story?

I believe the ransom deadline has also passed.

I can't imagine how I would feel if this happened to my vulnerable mum. I hope she's found soon

Clearly it’s the son in law- similar build, colouring and eyes. Dominic Evans has similar eyes, yes, but his build is lighter. Occams razor says it’s the son in law.

I really don’t think it is, as suspicious as he seemed initially. Hasn’t he got a fairly bulky looking beard?

Ah ok. I had only heard her being referred to as as a television news anchor, which made me think of Fiona Bruce or Sophie Raworth as UK equivalents.

Seems possible but unlikely. You'd have to be a bit stupid I think to kidnap someone you are so easily associated with. You might choose the house next door or something. Then again people are stupid sometimes and the moustache seems very similar. The eyebrows are shadows but that looks like a man to me. I would think they could get a lot; eg height, weight , gait from that video. Poor lady.

Horrible. The thinking seems to be her son in law, possibly with involvement of her daughter (not the newsreader). I think she’s already dead, the kidnapping/ransom is a red herring.

I read they have the times the garage door opened and closed. Are they saying that’s how Nancy got into the house? If so, I wonder why she didn’t use the front door.

I don’t know if when they say the garage door they mean the vehicle door or a regular door into the garage? It’s relatively common to have a standard door into the garage in addition to the vehicle door in the US I believe. So it could just be her normal way in and out of the house for whatever reason.

Oh I didn’t think of that. I haven’t seen anyone else querying it so that must be it then.

I’m hoping now they have the video, it will be easier to pin someone down due to their gait.

I've only seen reports of a medical helicopter flying to a hospital from that area. Nobody knows who is on board. It could be completely unrelated.

Reading between the lines it does seem like something significant is happening. They interrupted the winter Olympic coverage to announce the arrest. Which seems odd. It’s important news true but not program stopping news surely. Other news channels seem to be reporting the story on loop. Perhaps the press know more than they are being allowed to report?

Just distance from her phone. It connects via bluetooth, so if she gets a fair distance away from it the connection is lost.

If she was in range, but deceased, the absence of a heartbeat would be recorded.

It's been reported that the helicopter flight was not connected to this case. There's a video online of the detainees mother in law. She is confused as to why her son in law was detained. Her house is being searched.
I can't imagine what the Guthrie family is feeling right now. It's a nightmare!
