To think I should go to minor injuries?

DH says probably nothing! I am a bit concerned myself.
These are my symptoms:
Random prodding pain in upper back
On Sunday evening, I was driving and I suddenly felt a pulsating, deep pain in the side of my lower back. This came in waves varying from uncomfortable to a sudden shock of pain which would make me groan out loud, for around 5 hours until I went to sleep. Since then, it has happened twice but only for around 15minutes at a time.
I have also been having stomach pain, almost like a burning feeling on and off.
I have felt nauseous on and off yesterday and especially today

Should I go, or will they tell me to bugger off and stop wasting their time?!

Op have you contacted the gp this morning or are you waiting until they close again to suddenly want help?

Just wanted to make it clear that I’m not suggesting I go to A&E!

I've noticed that on MN the only appropriate time to use A&E is when you've been stabbed or a broken bone is visible to the naked eye. Please don't worry about "wasting" A&E resources. If you're in pain, go.

@Forenspy why are you ignoring the masses of people telling you it sounds exactly like gallstones and saying you can't possibly think what it could be?

Gallstone pain is classically in the shoulderblade, and does not respond to any pain medication.

What did the GP say today?

Gaslighting myself in which way?

By telling yourself it might be due to your anxiety. Like you're trying to talk yourself out of how serious it might be,cor downplaying or, or attributing it to something that doesn't need a&e.

be careful, if you disturb OP you will be reported and deleted

Nurse here! I think if the pain is still there tomorrow you should maybe go to A+E, it’s worrying it came on suddenly on Sunday and hasn’t gone away. Your initial post made me think of Kidney stones or Gallstones. Did they dip your urine? (Sorry may have missed that!) in saying that I reckon you would have been sicker by now had it been gallstones, a kidney stone on the other hand may have passed. Any other symptoms?

follow up - sorry I have just seen they ruled out a kidney stone. How are you feeling now OP? I don’t think a+e would think you were wasting their time - you need bloods done and an ultrasound to rule out anything serious.

Hi im wanting to ask a question for myself here. I had horrific pains on and off liek this for THREE years and I didnt go to the GP even, I kind of worked out it came on when I ate fatty foods so just stopped doing that. The pain was excruciating and I was rolling around on the floor at night and vomitting terrible. eventually I did go to the doctor and had a scan and it was gallstones as I suspected. I ahd my gallbladder out. But Iin hindsight what on earth was I thinking just ignoring it like that? who on earth does that? many years after I ended on having a terribel breakdwon from stress becasue I wasn't able to ask for help and they said it was due ot childhood abuse and neglect. I have no clue hwy I would neglect mysefl that way
