I believe wholeheartedly he has bipolar type 1 (although this whole ‘caused by a car crash’ thing sounds like BS). And clearly he has serious manic episodes where he does increasingly severe damage to his life, family, career, reputation each time. Thats hard.

But every time he ‘recovers’ from an episode, it’s not five minutes until he shows us who he truly is. Manic or depressive or well…the only thing Kanye cares about is Kanye.

He fucked his reputation beyond repair during his last episode. His money is dwindling. His ego is bruised because (despite his view of himself as a ‘leader’) he is no longer a major player in music, fashion or business. Nobody cares what he thinks anymore. He has little cultural influence.

This is what Kanye is upset about.

If he was truly sorry about the obliteration of his marriage, abandonment of his children, the appalling anti-semitism , misogyny and MAGA shite he spouted…he would be withdrawing quietly to seek treatment, repair relationships and build a life that evidences real change.

Instead, he is paying for ads that read like they are directed at his former paymasters.

I would. It was clear to me he was in a psychotic episode. But I think the key thing will be whether he gives someone medical proxy, or whatever the legal instrument is, to insist on his treatment should he become unwell again. If he takes seriously the harm done then he should instruct also his lawyers under what circumstances they should not be fighting enforced medical treatment.

I genuinely believe he suffers from psychosis and has been in active psychosis when some of these things have happened.

I have no doubt that the cause of that could be genetic along with his lifestyle which has been severely stressful and unusual.

being in psychosis doesn’t make you a good or bad person outside of that- his public sexual behaviour with his wife is likely to be someone who is genuinely controlling- controlling is a common way to dysfunctional deal with anxiety.

all in all, I think he has massive mental health issues and I would suggest he’s not always in control of his behaviour.

in terms of forgive- well, meaningless, I don’t need to forgive people, particularly strangers. Mental illness isn’t an “excuse” it provides context and reasoning. And I think there is a strong case for looking at his behaviour in the round with that.

I knew he wasn't an actual nazi and it was all linked to his MH issues. So I don't know why he bothered putting out an advert about it.

It's just another way to get publicity. Seeing as he's not been seen promoting much in the last few months. He's got grillz, KFC, invisible dresses for his Mrs and Blue Hair extensions for North to pay for. It don't come cheap.

My friend who is a consultant psychiatrist thinks that mania loosens the tongue for one's true beliefs. I am not sure that's what I think tbh. Do I think he has a serious mental health illness, yes. Do I think he is sorry for now, yes. Until... the next time he comes off his meds/drinks too much/doesnt sleep for hours on end/smokes too much weed and spirals again.
