From reports, was by no means the first dance.

Seems they’d had lots of first dances (bride & groom, bride & dad, groom & mum etc) earlier in evening.

This was first slow dance of Marc Anthony set, which was scheduled to be for bride and groom. But MA apparently didn’t get the memo.

Not clear why he feels VB ‘hijacked’ the dance, unless he’s suggesting she put MA up to it. It’s BB’s wedding. Why didn’t he put MA straight and say, “I’m going to dance with Nicola to this one”.

Perhaps NP was pissed with him for that reason and he blamed it on his controlling mum.

You might have noticed that I’m mostly interested in people’s reaction to the issue rather than the issue itself. I’ve also offered the unpopular notion that maybe there isn’t a conspiracy theory.

In his statement he says his siblings were made to block him.

Why don’t people believe the most beautiful comment/dance thing was a set up? I genuinely don’t understand- it seems pretty obvious to me.

That guy is VB/DB’s best mate and at this point relations had soured so much that VB put a stop to making the dress that was intended for NP. They, according to BB had been absolute arses in the run up to the wedding and tried to stop him marrying her. They were trying to get him to sign away the rights to his name and he refused, which seems to be his reason for the cause of a lot of this (maybe they have other reasons not to like the girl - who knows?)

But I really don’t understand the comments about how it can’t possibly have been a set up that VB/DB were in on or had a part in.

Do we think VB is a saint or something?

It does feel to me like a surprise that misfired. Are the Peltz lot more traditional & formal? If NP can dance much earlier in the day with Dad, why not BB with Mum? BB does say this dance wasn’t in the running order - that alone prob upset NP.

By the time of the wedding itself you’d have thought VB would be graciously resigned whatever personal opinion (?)Did relations with NP break down immediately post wedding?

The article I read earlier said VB was waiting by the stage ready for this dance so she knew the plan was for MA to call her up to dance.

But BB and NP expected it to be their dance as well as the the hit of most beautiful women at the wedding not being called as the bride but the Mil who looks like she turned up ready for bed in her nightie.

Why is it all about VB and NP? Why is none of it landing on DB and why is there even a debate that BB wrote the statement?

It's all focused on how bitchy, canniving, control mad and power hungry the women are (or are not).

No one is thinking "is DB or BB the bad guy?". It's all "Is it VB the awful MIL or is NP the woman trying to destroy a family for fun".

I watched the trashy ‘Members Only: Palm Beach’ while crashed out at NY.

Obvs shows the extreme and produced for entertainment, like all the ‘Housewives of…’ franchises, Made in Chelsea etc.

But, what surprised me was how obsessed they were with etiquette. You don’t apparently get invited to the highest echelons of the Palm Beach season, like parties Mar a Lago etc (no idea why anyone would want to be) unless the Queen Bees approve of your etiquette. They were bitching and falling out over the most ridiculous perceived faux pas and ‘slights’, apparently because they’re bored out of their minds and have to make up drama to give their lives meaning.

Given the Peltz family live in Palm Beach, this is quite possibly the culture NP’s grown up in: storms in teacups and hissy fits over etiquette, running orders, perceived slights etc.

I think D is likely very controlling and very much in charge in the relationship. I doubt V would do anything without his approval. He bank rolls her failing clothing line.

I think the ‘nightie’ is rather a signature & the slip dress pretty popular for those with figure. They’re very unforgiving. :) Florida also hot. What did MOB wear?

If BB wrote the statement he gave DB a hall pass.

It’s the failings of VB as a mother he lends heaviest weight to, the crimes of not getting behind dogs, helping on dress number 2 or 3, and causing WORST day of his life by dancing ON him.

I questioned this & a PP said this was because BB was closest to VB so hurt most by her, hence her disproportionate kicking. Understandable? No - I agree with you!

IF DB had affairs & was ‘inauthentic’ here & disturbed the equilibrium of family life BB didn’t call Goldenballs out.
