To ask when Reform supporters will

finally see the light about Farage? As the article says, if he will do this for £98 without thinking or a few seconds of research, what else is he capable of? The man is, IMHO, amoral, greedy and surprisingly stupid.

Tw: this mentions the hideous crimes of Watkins.

Nigel Farage ‘tricked into paying tribute to Ian Watkins’

It cost £98 for The Reform UK leader to film the clip on his Cameo account

I think you'll find that @PandoraSocks is critical of Keir Starmer on the thread that's about, and always was before Labour came to power in July 2024, the current Government, which is Labour.

Yet here you all are ready to pounce.

I am not a reform supporter, can’t stand Farage but I’ll still vote for them if they are the only conservative option with a chance of getting Labour out. And no, to answer your question, articles like this will not change my mind. I already know he’s an idiot, a chancer and most probably a racist, but I would still be willing to take a chance on the party as a whole rather than have another 4 years of Labour as I still believe that, at this point in time, a Reform government would be more beneficial/less detrimental than Labour to both my family personally and the UK as a whole. We need tax reform, benefits reform and immigration reform, the current system is unsustainable and Labour is making it worse by the day.

So what is it about Nigel Farage that you can't stand?

So when Kemi talks about being Nigerian is she vile too or is it only if someone mentions it in the context of someone, based on the ethnicity definitions in use for over 40 years throughout the public sector, being the only leader a centuries old English political party can find?

Not really persuading us Reform voters aren’t racist here tbh.
In fact your type of posts are the very reason Reform opposers see Reform supporters as abhorrently racist and stupid.
Giving me a 2nd chance at my very first report though so …

What exactly was racist about the comment?

Do clarify?

What exactly is racist about sharing the 40 year old ethnicity definitions in use by the entire public sector?

We have to count everyones ethnicity but mention it is a sin? Can you explain why for the stupid?

You weren't reported for saying Badenoch is Nigerian and you know it. She recently said she no longer identifies as Nigerian, btw.

Mori says a clear reform majority

YouGov say very different..

But thats not really a known, unless Mori or YouGov can tell me next weeks lottery numbers are.

..and no polling takes into account what todays 13 to 17yo age group will do.

Blusteryskies · 16/01/2026 13:58

It probably won't change a thing. I honestly don't think people who plan on voting for Reform are capable of employing any critical thinking faculties. Even if you hate all the other political parties, if you're incapable of seeing past the fact that they're grifters you're beyond hope.

You called her a Nigerian baby passport holder or similar. It’s disingenuous to suggest you were suggesting anything other than her being Nigerian/not born here makes her not British. I’m going to report your profile.

Is it mentioning it the thing that is so bad?

This was on the back of your original racist comment about Kemi.
To try and prove that racist post was ok.
It wasn’t - Mumsnet agrees.
Don’t keep digging.
Don’t even try to be clever - it doesn’t work.
We already know you’re proud of your racist views.
Most of us, and I’d like to think this includes some normal human Reform voters, would like you to take those views elsewhere.

Bobbinog · 16/01/2026 14:02

Ablondiebutagoody · 16/01/2026 12:31

It's not the point. Votes for Reform at the next GE will be out of frustration from people who don't feel that politicians care about their views. What alternative do they have? Lab/Con would just be more of the same.

I completely agree. And those posters criticising @JamesClyman for saying NF is a good communicator, you appear to be shooting the messenger.

IMO NF is a good communicator just like Johnson is and Blair was and the Greens leader is. Saying so doesn't mean I support any of them, but there is little point sticking your head in the sand over this.

A few years ago I was roundly criticised on here for suggesting Reform had a broad appeal to traditional working class voters (aka the Red Wall). I still think that.

Unless the traditional parties (Labour, Conservative) get their act together Reform will wipe the floor with them after the next GE and saying so doesn't mean i endorse NF.

Honestly if you believe that if someone isn’t born in the uk or is brown that makes them not British just own it. Don’t try and pretend otherwise.

Yeah, right.

Well, its true, i'm not a fan of Starmer, not even a Labourite but they are doing some good stuff.
They've also, so far, failed in some other areas, Dentistry, Social Care... but there is another 3.5years.

I will just argue against the view that the 14 years of the Tories were better, they weren't, they were awful, Austerity and 7 years wasted Govt time on Brexit plus 5 PM's inside those 7 years....

No way to run a country.

I don't know who i'll vote for in 3.5 years time atm, the only i would rule out is Reform, Farage is an out and out Racist, a con artist that in any other walk of life would probably be in jail for fraud or living it up somewhere on other peoples pensions....

crazykatwoman · 16/01/2026 14:06

placemats · 16/01/2026 13:51

So what is it about Nigel Farage that you can't stand?

The fact he comes across as an idiot, liar, chancer and racist, but some of those apply to most politicians. I was, and still am, very much anti Brexit but I don’t hold that against him, people voted how they did and we got what we deserved on that. Regardless of who is in power it will be near impossible to turn back the clock on that anyway.
