To ask how to make fish fingers more exciting?

I make fish finger sandwiches (butter, ketchup, vinegar, tiny mayo).
I'm sure there must be better ways of eating them, does anyone have an amazing recipe to share?

I was thinking fish finger tacos with corn mini tortillas, inspired from tempura fish tacos I had in Margate once.

Decades ago I had a housemate who lived on ff sandwiches.

She would put in all sorts.

Slices of peppers, salad, chili sauce, mango chutney, I think one day a pickled onion was involved.

Try this. Open your fridge and use the first thing you see (obviously not fruit juice).

Unsurprisingly, I am not alone!

Sliced gherkins, tartar sauce and some lettuce.
Can't believe no-one has mentioned gherkins yet!

Yes! Break out the Mrs Elswood! And not white bread, something a with a bit more heft.

Katsu sauce and coconut rice?

Apologies for the awful typos above, old age and iPad...

A wrap.
Slather with satay sauce.
Stick in some raw spinach and other salady bits of choice.
Whack your cooked fish fingers in.
Roll.

It's SO tasty. Also works with fish or chicken goujon things.

I’ve had to come back to say I tried this after seeing this post , and it’s the absolute food of the gods!

Ive used rocket instead of spinach and added in some pockets (gerkins and pink picked onions) and it’s amazing!!

Put them in a curry. Lots of recipes online.

When I was young my mum used to bake a potato and cook fish fingers. Scoop out the inside of the potato and mash with fish fingers. Refill the jacket with potato fish mash and bake a little longer. Can top with cheese, put veg/ beans on the side.

Smart mum! It's sounds a bit crazy to mash fishfingers, but it makes sense to me, i often mash tuna into our potatoes so why not? I bet it tasted great. Most kids (and adults) would love this and a baked potato is a healthy option.

We have them with part baked baguette 😁

I don't think you can improve on perfection OP. A fish finger sandwich, plastic white bread, mayo on one side, ketchup on the other, maybe a bit of lettuce if I'm feeling especially fancy.

Deal lord I've just had my dinner, stop tempting me!
