The more tenuous the better.

I don’t want any of your “My mum used to clean for a famous pop star” because that turns into pages of tiresome questions and “Oh go on tell us who it is/give us a clue/no I can’t sorry”

I want such tenuous connections that nobody will bother asking follow up questions.

I’ll start.

My dog was Mr Tumble’s dog’s mum.

My legs have been on television, but only from the knees down.

That probably counts as 'partial' rather than 'tenuous'.

My daughter and I and grandaughter were on a weather ad sponsored by tui for about 6 months, umpteen times a day.

Oh i have also been partially on TV, it was a local charity advert my feet were "dancing" 💃

I was also backstage a few times with Atomic Kitten and Stops and Blue and some others. Friend is a member of a successful Americana group. On speaking terms with Sue Pollard and a few others.

I've slept with someone who's slept with someone who's been nominated for an Oscar.

I’ve got a vicarious tenuous one: before I let DH he went swimming with Leonardo De Caprio. He was staying in a Mediterranean hotel and went for a swim in the indoor pool. The only other person in the pool doing laps alongside him was Leo.

Am ex-colleague's son was told to fuck off by Prince William. It was during a school water polo match.

A girl I was at school with went out with the brother of one of the founder members of Pink Floyd.

My MIL’s first cousin was in the same class as Paul McCartney at school and once lent Paul his raincoat.

It is currently unclear if Paul returned the raincoat, so my claim to fame might be that Paul McCartney stole my MIL’s first cousin’s raincoat.

Also, MIL’s mum used to get her hair washed and set every week at the same salon as John Lennon’s auntie.

My close family friend who was around 12 at the time nearly met the Grange Hill actor John Alford when he was apparently due to make an appearance in our local nightclub, ‘Drake’s’ - at an under 18s evening.

When her mum found out her intentions though she said -

“Drakes??!!! I’ll give you Drakes!!!”
