To be shocked that the BBC is silent on Iran?

posting for traffic here because I know that I’m not BU but I want to hear what others think.

Isn it a bit strange that the Islamic Republic is about to be toppled, Trump is threatening action if Khomeini attacks Iranian citizens en mass… and all the BBC can report on is the fire in Switzerland??

I was looking on the front page, where I would expect to see this important news. I didn't even know there was an Iran page . And I shouldn't have to . If it was verified enough to be in the Iran pages it should be verified enough to make main news or is the BBC operating two tier verification.

You realise the BBC has to cover literally everything happening in the UK (as the British Broadcasting Service), and everything from the rest of the entire world as well? Not every issue is going to be on the front page at the same time as there isn’t room. Surely this is obvious.

In the early days of a story it indeed might not be on the front page. But a quick click in the bar along the top will take you to the part of the world you’re interested in, or you can type the country into the search box at the top.

re Iran - maybe it wasn’t on the front page on the first day of two but there were still many many articles being posted. And you’ll be delighted that it is on the front page now.
