That left wing people are generally less likely to work.

I suggest you do some research on the core support for Reform.

I work from home, therefore I can MN from home too between meetings and calls. One of the benefits of being educated is that you can pick any career.

For argument's sake, let's pretend she was driving at him and she did hit him. What was the justification for the two shots fired through the passenger window?

Or for denying her immediate medical attention?

I admit the first shot could be open to interpretation if you tilt your head and squint really hard while watching the footage, but the second two?

To the posters who responded to me on the previous thread, I agree - I do not believe the car struck the officer. He was trigger happy and murdered a woman.

Then he calmly put his gun in his pocket and walked off.

SilentMajority1 · 08/01/2026 20:50

Frequency · 08/01/2026 20:42

Or move out of the way?

Or, maybe, and it might be a wild suggestion, not step in front of a moving vehicle at all?

I'm quite successful in not being run over by adhering to my second suggestion. If that fails, the first suggestion always works. I have been run over precisely 0 times since practicing this.

The ICE agent stepped in front of a stationary vehicle, at least try and be factual.

BlearyEyes2 · 08/01/2026 20:45

But she was still driving.

No. By then she had been shot. Was possibly dead, definitely unconscious and the car was still in drive so continued to move until it crashed into parked cars.

A little more information has trickled through. This officer was (it is reported) injured in an arrest some months ago where he was dragged along by a vehicle some 100 feet and was hospitalised needing 20 stitches in his arm and another 13 in his opposite hand (edit to clarify this)

I wonder if he’s mentally suitable now to be conducting these arrests, he may have PTSD

Edited

Not so much 'trickled through' as unintentionally exposed by Noem and Vance

"Shooting them dead can only be justified when there is no other option."

Well that's not true is it? If the officer felt in fear of his life due to a 2 ton vehicle being driven at him then he is entitled to act in defence of his life. As it turns out this individual has been traumatised by similar incidents so nay well have been in genuine fear.

Others have said that he should not perhaps been in the field if this was the case but then again we don't know what psychological assessment and support had been offered to him.

You may recall there was a similar case in the UK where an officer was tried for shooting a driver ( in defence of a colleagues life) and found not guilty by a jury. In that instance people also said why did he not shoot the tyres engine/ shot ion the arm etc.

In this case another ice engine also tried to open the door / grab the wheel I suppose but failed.

As I said earlier in the thread it was folly to keep driving when surrounded by armed agents on foot. Perhaps the agent should not have walked in front of the car but that doesn't entitle the driver to run him over or risk doing so - with tragic consequences.

stonkytonk11 · 08/01/2026 20:53

I think it’s fairly simple - the gun was drawn before the woman started driving forward towards the officer (she was trying to get away) and yes she refused to get out of the car and the ICE believe this is reason for someone to be shot dead. Absolutely sickening and there is no justification for it whatsoever.

She was being yelled at by his thug colleagues to move her car. It’s not rocket science not to move in front of a car that the occupant of is being screamed at to move.

So she only started driving after she was shot? I’m sorry but this all seems quite far fetched. My money is on her being a militant protestor who pushed it too far.

She was being yelled at by ICE agents to get out of the car......a bit different from being "yelled at by thug colleagues to move the car".

And the justification for the two rounds fired through the side window after the ICE agent was well clear of her is...?

But she was still driving.

And? Let her drive away.

You previously argued he needed to shoot her to avoid being run over. If that wasn’t the case and there was no reason to think she was driving at anyone else, no need to shoot.

Love the way you and others keep implying that being shot is part of for the course if you don’t comply. No. It should only be an option if there is a credible threat to life.

Terrifying that some people are on board with the idea that the penalty for disobedience is death. Not only is it not an inevitable consequence as some on here are suggesting, but it’s actually illegal if there wasn’t a legitimate threat. Not that I’m holding my breath for any justice here, mind, given that compliance with the law seems to be optional, not to mention highly flexible, for the Trump government.

I think it’s relevant that he received a serious injury from an intention vehicle ram & being dragged along though. Not because killing this lady was in any way justified but it would to some extent explain the overreaction. He’s clearly not suitable to be in the role and needs to be suspended pending investigation.

There is ample and detailed analysis of the videos on the NYT link earlier in this thread.

Yes, if that's true, he should be suing the administration for putting him on active duty.

I don’t understand how stuff like this keeps happening the the UK Government won’t just condemn them as a fascist regime. Why are we still working with them? Why did we host Lord Dampnut? Why haven’t we seized his UK assets? He literally just kidnapped a world leader.

Because their military could absolutely steamroll us and he's not seemingly one for holding back.

As the pp said we had a similar case here. Idk if the outcome would be different but it needs to be tried.

Yeah protestors should all be shot, you should be ashamed of yourself but you wont..

Her SM tells a different story.

She was a devout Christian, musician and p/t poet, not a member of any protest organisation, she 'd just dropped her DD off at school.

At most it would seem she was someone who was concerned at the mass deportation of people & made the mistake of stopping to see what was going on.

It says in the link I provided that the altercation in 2025 was identified from court records

What was the case, please?

Mollydoggerson · 08/01/2026 21:08

The driver had manouved the steering wheel/tyres away from the ICE officers, before she was shot in the face, it seems pretty clear she was immediately shot dead, and likely she slumped forward, and this sudden slumping forward accelerated the vehicle which then crashed into the stationary vehicles and the pole. Did the steering wheel bag blow up at that time of impact?

There was no urgency to get her medical attention, they knew she was shot at very close range into the face, they knew she was dead. They went into cover up mode.

Walkden · 08/01/2026 21:09

"Because their military could absolutely steamroll us and he's not seemingly one for holding back."

Plus

  1. one of the main arguments made for Brexit was trying to get a trade deal with the us.
  2. trump has been known to retaliate with tarrifs and our economy is fucked enough as it is
  3. trump is impulsive
  4. we have isolated ourselves from Europe do it makes sense to minimise any fallout with the us while trump is still president

There have been many criticisms of Starmer but it is generally acknowledged he has handled relations with trump rather deftly up to now.

Where was he dragged? he stood out the way and shot her 3 x... how do you do that when hit by a car and dragged along?

What serious injury? he walked away from the crashed car after seeing victim and signalled to his colleagues to call 911....
