Not looking for a new year new me kind of thing, unless thats what your doing. More like I want to do more of this and less of that.

Curate my social media and unfollow the irrelevant
Unsubscribe from endless company emails
Walk/move more
Lift weights
Maintain friendships/contact with people
Read more, scroll less
Purge all subscriptions for 12 months. There's enough free stuff out there
Declutter the house and sell on Vinted

Not usually one for making NY resolutions, but this year have made just the one.
Enjoy buying cookery books, but don't use them enough, so going to cook a completely new recipe every week.
Not the most exciting resolution, but one I will keep to I think, and enjoy doing

Make my house a home I love, my depression took over and my house suffered. But it’s getting there

I left a very toxic job (hence the depression) so I’m looking forward to starting somewhere fresh.

Barney16 · 31/12/2025 22:27

To learn to use my, COVID purchase, sewing machine and make something very simple and rectangular.

C080889 · 31/12/2025 22:29

I havent decided yet. But last year I decided to oil the very ends of my hair every night before bed, my hair has grown loads, never looked better!

So if anyone is looking for an easy self care resolution I stuck to this religiously (well 95%) and the results are great!

shellyleppard · 31/12/2025 22:30

To stop buying things on impulse.... also get more mobile as I'm fed up with struggling to walk

Which oil did you use?

Mummymimosa · 31/12/2025 22:30

My one and only resolution is to say NO to anything that will make me feel like crap 🙂

ArseSkinForAFriend · 31/12/2025 22:32

Drink more wine
Do less housework
Spend more time dicking about on Mumsnet
Eat more cake

3rd year in a row I've made this resolution and I've never let myself down 👍

Work on expanding my friendships. I will be braver, e.g. if I meet someone I click with I will take the plunge & invite them for coffee / a walk etc. I will work to be less offended in the context of social things, e.g. when I’m not included in something.

Just a cheap argan oil. Nothing fancy. The very ends only.

Sounds very practical and doable

No more impulse buying here. Vinted only from now on

Good for you. I'm going to join parkrun and hopefully the community there will welcome me

I want to cook more food on a campfire. So have roped my fellow guide leader into taking a badge just us, where you have to cook international food on a fire once a month for a year.

Sounds good and you'll get something for it so the sense of achievement will be there too.

Whoa that’s some list! Mine is to end the year 50kg less than I started and to get out there more - I tend to be a bit of a hermit. Other stuff needs doing but I don’t need to make a resolution about it.

Stay sober for 365 days & just be happier in general . Smile

Calling · 01/01/2026 00:22

Go for an hour-long walk most days; use the outdoor gym and de-clutter!

BigcatLittlecat · 01/01/2026 00:32

Not to buy random clothes all the time!
Buy more Denby ware, but not new, so look for bargains!
A date a month with DH

I won a couples photoshoot which we booked for next summer, so losing weight for that. Going to be 40 this hear so I need to comes to terms with that and the direction my life is going.

A good one. There are lots of apps to track sobriety if you have a look.

Walking after each meal has proven health benefits and is something I want to do
