to consider going on holiday with this couple?

Name changed for this, for what will be obvious reasons.

To cut a long story short, I have been having an affair with a close male friend for the last two years now. TBH, my relationship with DH has been tedious for years now, he's not a particularly warm man and the honest truth is that I don't feel any great guilt over seeing somebody else.

The man I'm seeing has a newish girlfriend and she's really keen for us all to go on holiday. I know it sounds like a bit of a nigtmare, but it's at a very exclusive private members resort and we'd never be able to get in there without her.

AIBU to even consider going on this trip?

Gosh I don't mean to be rude, but please do not taint everyone in the world with the same loose morals as you.

What you doing is wrong, and you know its wrong, regardless of the state of your relationship or the intelligence of the gf (although I suppose that means in your eyes you can cheat on your partner if they have a lower IQ than you?)

People (and I mean women and men) wreck people's lives every single day of the week because they are too lazy to sort out their assets (WTF?) and they can't keep their willies in their shorts / or pants on (delete as applicable)

Hope you had a nice lunch...please don't choke on it.

Skibo Castle is members only - the place where Madonna got hitched.

Anyone can go to Necker - if they have the dosh.

Windy's sails are getting caught up in the forestay.

duchesse · 12/06/2008 19:45

UnquietDad- "Branleurs-les-Bains"? < Snort >

DirtySexyMummy · 12/06/2008 19:53

Skibo Castle isn't members only, anyone can go there. My Mum goes there for spa weekends now and then.

Where are there private holiday resorts? I only know of members only golf clubs and their like.

I don't think any of this is true..

OFSTEDoutstanding · 12/06/2008 19:54

Just found this thread someone I knew a few years ago was in a similar situation went away and got caught at it on the balcony!!! Totally runed everyones lives what a selfish bitch. How was your lunch have you decided whether to go away? Would love to hear where youare having a chance to go stay if of course as someone else says it does exist!

BroccoliSpears · 12/06/2008 19:56

We had a Honda Civic once. Sold it. Four years later, driving through Bradford we saw it. It's a taxi now.

This thread is troubling.

duchesse · 12/06/2008 19:56

For some reason this thread reminds me of Tom Lehrer's song I got it from Agnes.

eenybeeny · 12/06/2008 19:57

closeto maybe we would all agree to be nicer to you if you posted a link to this resort

duchesse · 12/06/2008 19:58

Sung version here.

hf128219 · 12/06/2008 19:59

Hi DSM

Skibo Castle and estate is only open to members of The Carnegie Club and their guests. Membership of the club is closed and there is a waiting list in operation.

If you would like further information, please contact Mrs Katy Renwick, Membership Administrator, on [email protected] or telephone +44 (0)1862 894600

I agree though where the heck are these resorts??

betterhalf · 12/06/2008 20:00

How shallow, money grabbing and uncaring can one person be?

I'm so glad I'm not you.

DirtySexyMummy · 12/06/2008 20:22

Oh, well I guess my Mum must already be a member, she goes there a few times a year at least.

Anyway, the folk in the OP aren't my mum, so all rather irrelevant

Sanctuary · 12/06/2008 20:33

Maybe this sounds silly
But is the op real???
I mean nobody would actually do that and come on mn and say unless it was a wind-up???

fluffybitoffun · 12/06/2008 20:37

Oh my god I know the OP, that's my boyfriend she's talking about. I invited her to my exclusive resort on good faith that she wasn't shagging him!

fluffybitoffun · 12/06/2008 20:39
Grin
tearinghairout · 12/06/2008 20:53

She refers to the girlfreind the way Camilla used to refer to Diana.

And that worked out in the end - sort of...

EzrasMummy · 12/06/2008 21:04

Of course its a wind up!
Some of you are getting too upset over this!

Its funny tho

clam · 12/06/2008 21:21

Oh, I do like a good wind-up thread. Gets the old adrenalin flowing..... Thanks closetothewind!

Soprana · 12/06/2008 21:24
