Me too! I'm hanging on in there for this! Glad I don't have any family as such, I couldn't do with all the drama!

Well, I called DH’s bluff today and he realised that I’m 💯up for separating.

You'd barely know it was Christmas these days on MN compared to years ago, constant posts about every tiny Christmas detail ,it was hilarious!

Same here! It's just me doing whatever I want and it's fun to hear about other people's drama (especially as so many of them feel sorry for those of us who spend the day alone).

It was a massive flounce where some long established posters went off and set up somewhere else.

Yes that was Christmas. 2008. I did misremember. The NYE thing was something else. The mods pulled the plug and shut everything down for hours .

Four of us here and no drama as yet, me, OH and two sons. It’s been drama free and will carry on that way.

Biggest drama so far is me realising yesterday the Christmas decorations and tree haven’t been put up yet.

Was there ever any satisfactory final chapter in last Christmas’s saga about some sister in law or cousin who apparently annually purloined any Christmas presents she fancied in the OP’s house on Christmas Day, nicked any useful food to take home, and moaned about the presents she herself received?

She sounded, if she existed, like an utter dose, and a criminally inclined one at that, but still she’d be invited year after year 😳

I was thinking just this the other day. A quiet Christmas for me this year as just 17yr old DD and I. So i’m here for it!
