To be sad that I’ve wasted £17 on a bottle of Bailey’s?

Bought a bottle of the chocolate Bailey’s today thinking it would cleanse my memory of downing a pint of Irish Cream when I was 14 (it was the only thing my parents had and I wanted to get smashed ) and throwing up everywhere. It did not. It still tastes like the original with a weird, very mildly chocolate aftertaste. I really wanted to like it as I’m a big fan of sweet liqueurs. Everyone else seems to adore it. I just can’t get past that horrid boozy taste!

Think I’ll give it to DPs instead.

Make a vanilla ice cream base, add it to that and churn freeze.

DS and his flatmates once poured it on their cereal when the milk was off. Students.

Mix in some chocolate sauce and whole milk, drink with lots of ice!

YABU because it’s actually called Christmas milk and should only be consumed in weekend/non working day morning coffees ☺️ Also, the Aldi version is cheaper and just as good for this purpose

I only have it with milk (about half and half) or in a hot chocolate.

I love the white choc baileys dupe from Lidls. Had two cinnamon lattes with it in today. Absolutely heavenly! And it's under £7.

Not a fan of straight Baileys but added to things is a different story.
I bought a miniature bottle this year for a couple of boozy hot chocolates.

Can anyone remember the Glide drinks? A Baileys based drink? Was so creamy and nice.

You need to try the aldi ones, the hazelnut one is lovely in coffee!

I love the taste of baileys etc but not the alcoholic taste part - I get round this by having it with loads of ice and letting it sit for 5 mins, so that it gets watered down slightly. And it’s nicer served chilled as well I think. X

Used to love baileys but got some Christmas before last it’s so much sweeter. I can no longer drink it, it’s ruined.

Just buy a bottle of Kahlua or Tia Maria and then use the Bailey’s to make a load of Baby Guinnesses. Kahlua first, then pour the Bailey’s in off the back of a spoon so they don’t muddle.

Well if you nicked a pint (!) of your parents' Baileys as a teen then you owe them a bottle, presumably.

I liked it! They have a few different ones like the chocolate cream and black forest gateau etc. I enjoyed it!

I think it was sometime in the 80s, I drank a large amount of this cos I couldn’t taste the alcohol only the lovely chocolate…
I remember trying to crawl upstairs and loads of people in the hall below, watching me.
Then I was violently sick in the toilet, and swore never to touch anything like it ever again!
I never have.
Its next to Warnicks Egg Nog in my mind…
