I tried to join a group a few years ago for a creative pursuit that's less than fuck all to do with sex or gender. They were trying to keep it private and not too large. A few questions for entry, and one of them was "do you accept that transwomen are women?"

I guess they can have whatever conditions they like for a private group but of all the irrelevant purity tests they could have landed on... that was the favourite?

Chosen precisely because 1. Forcing people to demonstrate willingness to mouth absurdities reveals who is willing to submit to authority and 2. Because most still see women's safety, privacy, dignity, and preference as things that should rightly be sacrificed to maintain the correct hierarchy of subordinate women and prioritised men.

You may also have passed transwomen that you did not clock because you thought they were women.

Well I would be happy if they would accept all genders ( and none) as long as they were all female

in fact if the world was more tolerant of all genders a lot of this nonsense would disappear

differnece gender and personality ? I think personality is totally unique whereas gender is about belong to a group and being at pains to advertise that you are in that group

Not all are close to passing. No-one is arguing that. I am just saying that you have no way of knowing if you do pass a passing transwoman in the street. Or indeed if you spot someone you think is a transwoman but is in fact a woman, unless you go and ask them or something.

Men everywhere always trying to sneak in. I didn’t get it before but I see it now. I’d never ever try and join a men’s group. Wouldn’t occur to me. I joined a women’s writing group (women in the name of the group) only to discover another fucking man. Just leave us alone, bad enough some of us have to live with one!

Distress through puberty is normal. Most child desist. And even if they are distressed there is no reason why their distress is for other people to deal with at their own distress.

Being inclusive requires you to acknowledge the issues of all parties. This does not equal validation.
