My GP surgery has text me to inform me that I’m duet flu vaccine. I’m going to book myself in.

Will you be having one too?

I've had mine. DS is feeling awful and has flu like symptoms, I just feel a bit off colour ans as usual DH is fine.

I've already had mine. After having flu a few years ago I genuinely can't think why anyone who could have it wouldn't.

Had it about about 6 weeks ago, then promptly caught flu, glad I had the jab as I think it would have been much worse if I hadn't. Even so I was off work for a bit and below par for about a month - very tired and achey. DH had it worse and he'd had the jab too.

Same here. I usually have mine in September/October, I wonder why it was later this year. (Not that I’m complaining though, I’m very grateful to have it.)

I had mine back in Sept when they released the paid for appointments. I get it every year as soon as I can.

DH doesn't have it. The only year he got it, he got flu so feels its not worth it.

Not entitled to an NHS one but I paid for one at Tesco - only £16, I was surprised how cheap it was! I had a horrendous bout of flu as a 20-something, in bed for days, hallucinating with fever. I can’t imagine how we’d cope as a family if I got that ill now we have small children!

I used to get one along with the kids at school but since I retired I'm not eligible. I had one when it was done along with a Covid booster but this year I'm not old enough. I'm not going to pay to have one.

No because I can’t have it for free this year! Every time I have been able to I’ve had it and never had side effects- much better than getting flu

Had mine ages ago. I'm eligible through work and have it every year having had hideous flu several times in my twenties - still remember hallucinating that I was being attacked by squirrels.

Last year DH had flu and I didn't. He is never ill and he was suffering for days.

This year he was desperate not to repeat it and paid for a private one.

DH and I were both unwell with other things when they were first available to us in September so held back until we felt better.Because I had a bad reaction to mine last year,I didn't want to compound the general feeling of unwellness that I've suffered over the Autumn.We must go and get them sorted now-no more excuses!

I had mine at the beginning of October: I'll never forget 2 of my friends having flu at the same time about 8 or 10 years ago and I was shocked how ill they both were and how long it went on for. Ever since then I have had the flu jab every year.

I generally feel the same but then thought the last think I want to do is be laying in bed feeling crap wishing I’d spent the £16.

Yes had it in October so did DH, I pay for my 21 and 19 yo to have it too, if they want it. They both said yes this year!

Had Covid and flu a week ago. Knocked me out for 24hrs but having had flu a few years back it's a price I was happy to pay.

Same, apart from pneumonia. It confers lifelong protection and, given the incidence of dementia in my mum’s family, pneumonia might be a blessing one day.

Had it already, with the Covid jab.

I did once have proper flu (not just a very bad cold) over Christmas - I was a lot younger then but it still knocked my stuffing right out for over 3 weeks.

So do please get yourself vaccinated if you can!

Had it weeks ago.

Never crosses my mind to "consider" whether to have a vaccine (or not), if it is offered I am in (and never had anything as much as a sore arm or a sniffle afterwards).

I had both in October, I’m extremely vulnerable I’m immunocompromised and had a stroke 2 years ago.

I get a free one due to a health condition and both DH and DS get them early via GP for asthma. I think mine was early October?
