I love dogs. There's a dalmatian near me that brings me true joy during the school run 🥰

But now that I've admired your dog from my car, got my dopamine hit, I am now faced with the task of avoiding glancing at its testicles and therefore being mildly grossed out during the rest of my journey.

In 2025, I shouldn't be forced to see a dogs genitals!

I have often thought this when seeing breeds with short coats and tails that are carried high... and it's not just the boys.

Some breeds, once they are mature, the lady parts are very 'out there' and saggy.

I love dogs, dogs are literally my life... but if I never see a doggy scrotum or vulva, bouncing away in front of me, I'd die happy. (My dogs have scruffy hair or tails held down - we rarely see a vulva or a butthole here!)

Same here @WiddlinDiddlin , long woolly coats and fluffy tails, so everything is nicely discreet and no clothing required.
Droopy nipples is another thing that slightly puts me off short coated dogs.

I hope this thread doesn't cause friction between dog owners...coat length discrimination could be a new thing. Mind you, I do get a lot of people comment that they couldn't cope with the moulting (or grooming) of my breed, so I guess discrimination goes both ways.

Aren't their genitals technically already covered by fur as fur is their 'clothes'🤔 I do agree about dogs arses though. It's like they've got a furry all in one on but the arse part has been cut out. It must be very cold and draughty in the colder weather.

Especially dogs like pugs with tight curled up tails so their arseholes are staring you in the face. Good plan.

My hobby is hand-embroidering dog underwear. My favourite design is other domestic pets - cats, llamas, camels, alligators. I like embroidery so much that I have to buy a new dog every time I think up a new design. I have trained my male dogs to use their front paws to take their main genital out of their y-fronts. The girl dogs especially like lace bras, but are prepared to wear plain cotton with 3 per cent elastine when they are feeding puppies. Dog nipples are the pits. I shouldn't have to see them in my own home. When I have visitors, my dogs wear a burqa as I don't want my guests to be offended by fur.

Thing is, if it's a really hairy dog like mine, their genitalia is completely hidden in the fur most of the time. You don't really notice it's there.
I don't think I'd ever have a short haired dog though, because it would bother me a lot 😬

Dunno who mentioned it - no, short coated breeds tend to have naked testicles. Long coated breeds are more likely to have furry ones (and certainly have furry empty purses once neutered... I have clipped too many empty scrota to not know this... ) unless VERY mature in which case as they get larger they tend to get less furry.

I very nearly got a Bracco Italiano... until I realised just how saggy bitches vulvas are once they're mature. That was a hard no for me.

As for the 'just don't look' concept - have you ever seen a Weimaraner or Dalmatian, trotting along... pink balls swinging? You cannot just 'not look'... it's impossible!
