AIBU that this is the most ridiculous thing for a company to claim.

"Can a transgender woman have a period? Absolutely. Many trans and gender-diverse people menstruate. Whether you’re a woman, a man, non-binary or agender, your body may menstruate too."

They are basically encouraging men to buy their products so they can feel affirmation.

Yes.
It is turning a fundamental female bodily process into a fetish for men.

  • Avoid asking invasive or personal questions that may make someone uncomfortable.

For instance

So do not say, “but I thought you are a fella!”

Do say “hey thought you might want to know you’re leaking. If you’re flooding I’ve got some maxis in my bag I can lend you, and there’s a packet of paracetamol in there too. Oh and you should always wear black when you’re on!”

Because the latter will affirm and they’ll be happy to chat blood and wardrobe, because that is good lady-chatter .

It’s funny that men imagine we women have conversations like this because never in all my menstruating years have I said anything like this to any other woman.

I hadn't clicked the link cause I didn't want to give them clicks but
HOLY FUCK
I would never buy anything from that company after reading that.
They are basically encouraging men to buy their products so they can feel affirmation.
Years ago I saw a guy online pretending to be a woman and saying that his goal in life was to have a uterus transplant so he could carry his own child, now as if that's not bad enough, the reason he wanted to do this was so he could them ABORT said child and his affirmation as a woman would be truly fulfilled.
I can't remember exactly where I saw it but it has stayed with me.

Yes I saw that too and honestly, I can't think anything more depraved.

I do not know why people are cheering this on.

curious79 · 21/11/2025 13:17

it's really vague let's face it. Marketing to the deluded and the fetishists, without trying to offend their core base.

I have this vision of the future where knowledge goes into sharp reverse. LLMs will keep amplifying all this absolute quasi religious bullshit until it becomes fact.

Indeed. And don't think that they aren't working on that.

Yeah he thought it would be like a powerful movement for tw civil rights.

Take THAT, Rosa Parks

Waitingfordoggo · 21/11/2025 13:18

@Ghostmartin Thank you for sharing so I didn’t have to go to their site.

So, as suspected, the inclusion of TIMs is all about validation and/or fetish. ‘Slip on some comfy period underwear’ 🤢

If the TIMs find their ‘periods’ hard going, they could very quickly and easily induce the ‘menopause’ by simply not taking oestrogen and progesterone 🙄
They don’t find the idea of the menopause very sexy though do they?

I’m so annoyed by this- I bought some Modibodi last month 😡

AnneLovesGilbert · 21/11/2025 13:18

But it’s not a fetish. No, definitely not.

If a man in bleeding from his genitals or his bum he needs urgent medical attention, not overpriced pants and affirmation.

They failed. We ARE offended!

David Lammy said men could grow a cervix.

We live in an age of idiocy

The same David Lammy who though that the next monarch after the death of Henry VIII was...Henry VII and Marie Antoinette won a physics Novel Peace prize!

ThatCyanCat · 21/11/2025 13:21

This kind of absolute shite is one reason why I stopped buying Modibodi products. The other reason was that it was shit and fell apart quickly. But even if it had been brilliant, I'm not giving my money to these insane tosspots.

ArabellaSaurus · 21/11/2025 13:21

BurnTheWholeThingDown · 21/11/2025 12:53

It also says SOME transwomen don’t have uteruses.

hahahahahhahaha what even are words anyway

You have to wonder why they employ copywriters, when they could just empty the contents of the kitchen drawer over the keyboard and hope some of it lands.

Lunatics.

Anyway, supermarket period pants are cheaper and more comfortable.

MattDillonsEyebrows · 21/11/2025 13:21

So they acknowledge there is no bleeding.....

"Many trans women have periods. Some trans women don’t have uteruses, so they won’t bleed as part of a monthly menstrual cycle".

But then under tips it says:

"period underwear can help you feel comfortable, affirmed and empowered throughout your cycle."

So the only reason for the period pants is affirmation which as we know, for the penis people who would even contemplate using period pants its 'affirmation of fetish'.

I was finding it quite funny at first but having typed this, it now seems to me that
they just want to expand into the fetish market at the expense of the dignity of girls and women and now I think of it that way, its just a creepy, icky, gross sales tactic.

Totally this @MattDillonsEyebrows

At first, things like this do seem sort of amusing and stupid. Then we realise what's actually driving it.

Newmeagain · 21/11/2025 13:22

Ghostmartin · 21/11/2025 13:09

Let's face it, the company has confirmed themselves as fetishwear providers

Like Snag

Euuuw

Yes, exactly. There is something really icky about that text and I have just realised why.

Northquit · 21/11/2025 13:22

My only question back is it evri or royal male who deliver it?

WearyAuldWumman · 21/11/2025 13:22

Is this the 'my cross hormones are giving me the runs so I'm saying that I have period cramps ' that I've seen on Twitter?

Littlejellyuk · 21/11/2025 13:23

HermioneWeasley · 21/11/2025 12:51

That would be violent misgendering. You can’t say trans man is any sort of woman.

How is this violent?
I honestly don't understand? 😕

Can someone please clarify?

Screamingabdabz · 21/11/2025 13:23

Does it breach advertising guidelines do we think? Is it worth a complaint to the advertising standards?

Reminds me of that total freak who should not be allowed within 100 miles of any child man who said he could breastfeed his baby with the chemical concoction he squeezed from his nipples [vom-tastic]
