To say that women look bloody weird ….

.. when the only part of their face that moves is their mouth and eyes.

And don’t get me started on the massive fish lips.

Never see any naturally beautiful young women on TV these days. Such a shame

I think you’ve hit a few raw nerves.

Well, at least their fury won't show on their faces 😏

Can’t you see how rude and spiteful you are being?

I think people do need to comment - women are spending time and money and possibly impacting their health to create a look that is reminiscent of a robot -AI

just because a woman does something doesn’t mean it can’t be derided

whilst normally I would say / your body your choice - there is a normalising of getting work done that isn’t the interest of women in general. Normalising more expensive and beauty standards associated with women isn’t really great for young girls

FuglyBitch · 20/11/2025 22:18

Best to keep your opinions on appearance to yourself, there will be things about your appearance that others won’t like, and you’d probably prefer not to hear them 🤷‍♀️

Twinkyinthecity · 20/11/2025 22:18

GoingbackwardsForwards · 20/11/2025 22:15

I know, I guess some people just want to be outraged and attack rather than considering what has actually been said

I suppose it’s more do unto others as you’d have them do to you. You’re happy and comfortable judging others’ appearances. So as you’d understand - you’ll be happy to let others judge yours. So let us see the face of perfection..

their sole purpose being slagging off other women's appearances.
But it's not their appearance any more, it's the work of plastic surgeons.
Do you really want your daughter to feel that her natural state is not good enough and she ought to have work done, like all the slebs?

Chiefangel · 20/11/2025 22:21

I would frown at you op but I can’t, my face won’t let me!
I think vogue looked really pretty btw.

It’s hard to reason with stupid but I’ll try again - I’m saying that women are beautiful in their natural state and don’t need to pump themselves with chemicals to achieve that weird facial paralysis which is fashionable today.

Not this again…

blankittyblank · 20/11/2025 22:22

What I think is a shame is how everyone now look the same. Theres this identikit look, with the high brows, billowing hair and the big lips. I bloody love daisy may cooper, but she appeared briefly on my Instagram the other day and she looked like such a generic face I couldn’t figure out who she was at first. I was just watching the girl bands show on BBC, and Tulisa now looks just like Kim k! Really different to her natural look, but also sort of the same as everyone else.

I agree, It is a real shame and I don’t think they realise how unnatural it looks.

Oh yay, this thread again. Let's all have a great time bashing other women for doing things to their own face that don't impact us in any way! Woo!

But it does impact us. It puts pressure on us to conform with the ridiculous practice of injecting chemicals into our face to look a certain way.

Ihad2Strokes · 20/11/2025 22:25

zazazaaarmm · 20/11/2025 22:02

I genuinely thought the new woman at our office had had a stroke or some sort of facial tic, until she told us that she had had her cheeks done and botox. She's only 27. She looks slightly alien.
So much pressure to look this slightly weird way.

Your casual insult can get in the bin.

ive had 2 strokes & I don't look any different than before them (luckily) but even when people do, they don't look like they've cosmetically fucked with their face.

MelodiousMoo · 20/11/2025 22:26

I agree 100%. Natural looks better. Lips should not be messed with. I am just grateful that my daughter and son and their uni friends are not into this nonsense.

I guess there is no thought of pleasing you when they look in the mirror..

No, obviously not but they must think they look good which they blatantly don’t.

Blinky21 · 20/11/2025 22:31

I was in France recently and it struck me how few women had visible work done, not a trout pout in sight for days

Arlanymor · 20/11/2025 22:31

I think this is the latest iteration of "what makes women beautiful" sold to us by the culture of celebrity, the pressure of the beauty industry and the pursuit of youthfulness (which has been around for forever, but this is the latest version).

But people are entirely permitted to make the choices that they wish and I'm not sure I feel brilliantly comfortable with lambasting people for personal decisions about their appearance. It's not harming anyone else after all.

'It’s a shame they don’t realise they are more beautiful in their natural state.'

Has it occurred to you that you are not the intended audience? I think you are making an assumption that these women do it to impress the likes of you, when they most likely do it for themselves.

Not this again…

Well yes.

And hopefully women will continue to speak out against the onslaught of pressure in our society today to have botox and fillers and cosmetic surgery.

Trying to normalise these procedures and trying to shout down women who speak out against them is doing women, and particularly young girls and young women, a total disservice.
