I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I am freezing. Down to my bones. I have a heating pad under my jumper and a blanket on me and I finally feel warm for the first time this week.

I have ordered a hot water bottle but I don’t know what else I can do. I’m freezing. I’m on Mounjaro so I think it’s that, but I’m just so miserable.

I wear wool and fleece. Layers.

TheCurious0range · 19/11/2025 22:12

Where are you working and what is the temperature in the room?

In an office, I don’t know. Bloody cold. It’s NHS, so the heating isn’t on anywhere near as much as you’d expect

I wear an oodid and a heated throw but that's when I'm WFH.

At work your organisation has a responsibility to provide thermal comfort.

I layered today and was still cold - tight bottom layer, a jumper and a fleece.

I’m always freezing too. Thermal layers (M&S thermal leggings and vest top under your clothes), heated pad, heated throw is good, padded body warmer helps a lot. Big socks and slippers.

do you wfh or in an office? I have a big woollen wrap thing I wrap around me in the office. When wfh I wear my body warmer and when it’s really bad I heat just the room I’m in.

To be fair a lot of people in the office have asked if poorly because I’m just a lot colder than they are

Could you move around a bit, get the body moving, blood pumping etc

DH is on Mounjaro. He has suddenly realised what it feels like to be a cold woman, having been a hot-running man all these years.

A tight bottom layer might not be helping you, OP. Or maybe get some fleece-lined leggings?

Homegrownberries · 19/11/2025 22:17

Any chance your iron is low?

I’m at work during the day, so no.

I thought they were meant to help 😩😂

What is your chair like? Mine is mesh so it does not keep any heat in so I made a cover from a piece of fleece fabric like a large pillowcase and the flap bit hooks over the top of the seat back. Works a treat for extra warmth.

Magicmagician · 19/11/2025 22:19

Same here - I get by with a Hot water bottle on my back, layers including thermal tights and thermal long sleeved top plus a big blanket scarf. Also moving around - little things like walking to a loo which is further away, and try and get out for a lunchtime walk, as it gets the blood flowing.

GertrudeOHara · 19/11/2025 22:19

A hip flask and a tot of sloe gin. Will warm you right down to your toes. I’ve had days of three layers of cashmere, striding fast to and from the office, heating turned up full whack and sometimes that’s the only thing that will warm everything including my feet.

I'm on mounjaro and often freezing cold as well. Often doesn't make any difference what temp the room is. I find the trick is to not let myself get cold in the first place. Once I do I can't warm up again. I sit on a heated blanket now while I'm working. That usually does the trick for me.

I try for a lunchtime walk where I can but I feel like I just get colder. I need to find my gloves for tomorrow because my hands get so cold

Yes, I got cold yesterday morning and I feel like I’ve not warmed up. Even with going to the gym tonight.

My absolute solution for that bones coldness is a hot bath. And an electric blanket.

I’ve had a bath and it’s done nothing. It’s like the second I get out, the heat leaves my body

Do you find it hard to heat up after getting cold? Could be Reynards disease which is quite common in females. Your doctor can give you some medication to help your circulation if you need it. I feel the cold too. So glad it's coming into summer here now.

ProfRedLorryYellowLorry · 19/11/2025 22:28

I do, but I don’t think it’s that. It’s only really this year this has happened.

I’ve wanted one for years. My mum has scared me off them by convincing me as a child that they’d start a house fire!
