Trump told a female reporter this. How come this behaviour is accepted but if it was former president Obama, people would have lost their mind. Obama had to practically be ‘perfect’. When Obama wore a tan suit, it was such a huge deal.

Racism is a sick illness.

The journalist is not unknown, she is vetted and has a press pass and she was just doing her job asking him about the Epstein files.

I meant unknown as in her name hadn't been released (it hadn't when I first read about this incident).
I've googled her and she's very slim so him calling her piggy as some sort of fat insult is even more bizarre now imo.

Nothing to do with boxing.... Trump is trying to make out that Mohammed bin Salman knew nothing about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, despite the US having already stated a number of years back that his murder was approved by the self-same Prince of Saudi Arabia. It's truly sickening. Just thinking about it makes me run cold thinking about his fiancée waiting outside the consulate in Istanbul.

Well so has the UK ignored all the human rights abuses and murders, via Saudi because we want their money poured into our sport. It's actually worse than Trump's political motives. We protect the worse people imaginable. We don't ask for individual explanations from police officers and leaders why they've ignored child sexual abuse. There never was the prosecutions over Hillsborough/the Post Office scandal and now the morning sickness drug scandal etc. We can't point fingers.

You are not making your argument sound any better with a comment about her appearance.

I don't understand your point, sorry.

People here are saying he called her fat. She is very slim so that imo appears unlikely. How is it unreasonable to point that out.

Also, I don't have an argument, I'm just gossiping about something saw in the news.

I mean, it's no surprise that Trump is one of the very cuntiest cunts ever to walk the earth.

His supporters don't care, mostly because they are as thick as he is, so stuff like this doesn't bother them. The rest of the world just have to look on and hope he hasn't completely fucked things up by the time he gets thrown out - assuming he hasn't basically become a dictator by that point and refuses to leave.

Similar to the situation we are in the UK really. Dumb people voting in Labour, not because Starmer was going to be a great leader, but because they wanted the useless Tories out. And now here we are with a government who is slowly bringing our country to its knees, with its main players exiting left stage due to fiddling/corruption (one currently who has escaped due to other big news story saving her arse) and we’re left with someone who is of no use because every time he tries to vote through anything of significance, his lefty back benchers vote against it, so we’re left with a leader who is not fit for purpose.

I still can't believe the same country could elect Obama - basically the most decent man in North America - and Trump, the very worst. I suppose Trump is part of the backlash to Obama.

Some people have voted for both. Obama and Trump. The very same people.

Are you not getting a bit mixed up and conflating whataboutisms here.

The UK is a free country still, and if the KSA want to do sportwashing, then the UK government can't stop people from taking the money and participating.

You can ask away and ask any copper anything about his job.

Post office, what morning sickness drug.

We can point fingers all we want.

At the moment I am pointing my finger at Trump, and calling him a sexist bully twat.

JHound · 19/11/2025 10:01

It always amazes me how fat, ugly men like Trump still feel qualified to attack a woman’s physical appearance. Like they believe they, as men, are allowed to be unattractive but not women.

The hypocritical misogyny.

And he is the most unpresidential, unprofessional president the USA has ever had. I don’t see how he has fans here in the UK. He’s so crass.

And let’s be clear Obama could not get away with a lot of things Trump has. He could not get away with calling female reporters “pigs”, he would never have been elected had he bragged about grabbing women “by the p*ssy”. And if Obama had multiple kids for 3 baby mothers (ok, “wives”) like Trump he would never get NEAR the presidency.

But there are certain “privileges” that afford different treatment based on your demographics.

The mainstream media…shit stirring trouble makers who cause division!

How are they causing division by reporting Trump’s words?

Thinking rationally here; he said "Quiet, piggy!". Not the same as saying "Shut up!". He's not a fan of Bloomberg which she is a reporter for. The outlet is probably a heavily-biased news outlet favoured by Democrats. He was probably thinking a lot worse but was tame in his words given he was on camera. 'Piggy' is hardly insulting and if you find that it is, then, well, no advice for you from me. It's all tabloid fodder designed to rile people up, and it's worked.

If you think that that's thinking rationally, you probably shouldn't be allowed anything sharp.

IsawwhatIsaw · 19/11/2025 10:56

Sounds like the kind of insult that would be used in a Reception class by a 4 year old.

And all that makes Trump’s behaviour acceptable? Your comment is ridiculous 🙄

IBorAlevels · 19/11/2025 11:05

I genuinely don't know what Americans expect at this point. He has a criminal record. He did the whole "grab em by the pussy" schtick. He is in the Epstein report. He has been bankrupt and has corruption track records going back decades. He always tries to spark division and hate. He has presided over telling people autism is caused by paracetamol and doesn't believe in Climate Change. He banned abortions FGS.

They VOTED for him. It isn't a game, they chose this.

Oh, you know, X, TikTok, GB News, Fox, Facebook. No shit stirring or division to be found there.

Not to mention not having to worry about any pesky facts.

Perhaps it's because they call him out on his bullshit? The reputable ones do anyway.

This.

It's a series of increasingly head-in-hands dead cats from the WH.

My (depressing) belief is that we've seen the last free and fair presidential election in the US for a period of time. No country has an automatic right to a democracy, after all. Not even America.

Really worrying times.

I don't think that there has been a free and fair election in the US for a long time. Never mind Elon hacking the polling machines last year or whatever went on in Florida in 2000, the amount of gerrymandering and voter suppression is appalling.

It's not really similar at all. We have a government who are a bit useless. The US has a corrupt, perverted, grifting toddler wielding a wrecking ball.
