@Bobbinog the name of the journalist is mentioned on this thread and in the news articles linked on this thread. But yeah, maybe he was just telling her that she was asking too many questions!! And maybe every other time he’s called women pigs that’s what he meant! Thanks for explaining it to us.

The way his defenders are desperately twisting and turning to try to justify this are really almost funny.

He's also lazy, stupid and a coward. He can't answer their questions, so the only way he can think of to handle them is to start slinging insults at the questioner. And he is too thick to realise people see straight through it.

Trump is a vile, misogynistic man who cannot tolerate scrutiny or criticism. However, these traits were well known to the American public when they elected him, so it was already priced in.

What Americans will make of Trump defending the Saudi prince, I don't know. They may not care much about that either.

It will be interesting to see how the Epstein files change anything. I think it's very likely that they won't.

What we've learnt from this presidency is that the American people don't actually give a shit about the character or moral values held by their president.

It seems that the only thing they do care about is the dollar in their pocket. And that isn't going too well for Trump right now.

Whether or not people see through it or not, it's an approach that has worked pretty well for him to date.

Well, the current POTUS is clearly losing it. As a tactic, if I were in charge of any kind of news outlet now, the reporter I would be sending to presidential briefings would be female, messy hair, no make up, frumpily dressed and asking him awkward questions incessantly, simply to provoke more of this mad behaviour.

Its not a very nice thing to say but lets face it the media are pure poison, they cause so very many problems in today’s society!

He is being brought to account. The event itself took place on his aeroplane. Very difficult for anyone to stand up to the most powerful man in the world in a confined space. Particularly when that confined space is a plane that's in the air at the time. Nowhere for the challenger to go if it gets nasty.

I saw a video but can't fully make it out...he's having a conversation with a reporter, is it another reporter who interrupted mid conversation that he said "quiet piggy" to or was he shutting down the conversation with the person he was talking to? At the point he says it, it just seems to be a few voices talking at once and I can't quite make it our, it just turns into noise.

I don't think there's any need to be so snarky. I didn't realise the name of the journalist was known. I do think what he said comes across as rude but I was just voicing an alternative opinion to the he's racist, misogynistic etc because he said this. I was trying to understand why he said it and putting theories forward.

I don't hold Trump in high regard but neither do I rant about him for the sake of it.

Edited to add: I've just looked up the journalist. She's very slim so him calling her piggy makes even less sense now!!

That is very very wrong indeed. But the 'piggy' incident isn't more acceptable for it (two wrongs and all that). I mean, it just paints a dismal picture. It's beyond me how that man can be in office and speaks volumes about the actual puppeteers enabling this shit.

The journalist is not unknown, she is vetted and has a press pass and she was just doing her job asking him about the Epstein files.
