To get the ick over the way he treats his dog

I started seeing this guy and after a few dates I went back to his place for the inevitable shagfest. 😝

Anyway I knew he had a dog - not a problem I like dogs and have one myself.

On entering his abode the dog was extremely excited and pounced at me. She would not leave me alone jumping all over me climbing on the back of the sofa, standing on my head and licking my face. I was already thinking “get me the fk out of here” but then he started talking to the dog in third person and referring to himself as “daddy”. I could practically feel my ovaries recoiling.

Dog was not calming down so we retreated to the bedroom with dog locked safely in the lounge. I thought “cool let the shenanigans commence”. Which they did. All good and previous thoughts if the incestuous daddy/dog patter were pushed to the back of my mind.

After a few hours of how’s yer father I was feeling quite smug indeed and drifting off into a peaceful sleep when suddenly “crash, bang, wallop” the mutt was released from the lounge and allowed into the bedroom. No prior discussion on this. I was then subjected to around 30 minutes of the dog jumping all over me and general chaos. The ick was resurfacing with the endless “daddy” patter and having the dog either stood on my head or attempting to lick my face.

But then the last straw occurred. The dog started to lick with vigour and enthusiasm the hands of my new beau. Hands that had not long been all over and well in my … (Read between the lines here folks I’m sure you catch my drift). All the time being ENCOURAGED by him.

I was mortified. I felt sick. I can’t bear licky pet sounds as it is but the fkn dog was licking my fanjo juice off his hands.

I made a feeble excuse about leaving saying there had been some incident at home and practically ran out of the door.

Im not being unreasonable here am I?

Please if anyone can offer some perspective here it would be most welcome.

I feel violated !

That is in equal parts hilarious and disturbing.

I would say you were unreasonable for not leaving sooner.

Grim.

Retrospectively I have to agree!

I read this cringing cos my ex did the same then nearly died when I read the name cos it is the same name too although a different spelling. The ick factor never left me. He is an ex for a reason.

Trying out for some creative writing are we op? Maybe dial the “fanjo juice” stuff down a bit, it’s literally boak making.

Yeah, that was rank.

And the bit about it being “incestuous” between him and the dog. 🤔

heartofsunshine · 16/11/2025 10:36

😂😂OMG

breezyyy · 16/11/2025 10:37

Was it a Dalmatian and do you have a very large head?

Rainbows41 · 16/11/2025 10:38

You've put me off my crisps.

Yup, might as well have a big ole flag saying “Man here!!!!”

I am going to speak to him later today. I mean there is NO WAY I could cope with sharing a bed with an excitable licky dog and that’s without the fact it was chowing down on my second hand secretions.

I suspect this thread will be of short duration, OP.

Did you script this before you started the thread or is it more a genius of the moment type thing?

Stream of consciousness.

Maybe we could find a support group!?

Omg, actually recoiled reading this 😂

YANBU and don't go back!

Yetanothernewname101 · 16/11/2025 10:46

We love our dog to a stupid extent but there are definite limits. Including not letting them jump all over people, settling the excitement and definitely not letting them sleep on the bed. They do, however, sleep on the bedroom floor.
This man and his dog parenting would have given me the ick too. Trust your gut. Run for the hills!

It reads more to me like Inmate 164328 is on the Sunday cleaning rota for the prisoner governor’s office and has guessed the password to their work PC.

Awwww guys you don’t have to be kind to a stranger!!! You knows this already.

Your opinion on my writing style or authenticity or whatever are of no concern of mine.

Now for goodness sakes please excuse me whilst I get back to the important issue at hand. (No pun intended).

I'd find that weird and unpleasant and I'd not see him again. I also find your gratuitous regaling of the detail to the general public on a Sunday morning weird and unpleasant. So I'd not see you either.

shiningstar2 · 16/11/2025 10:53

I am my dog's mam so I mentioned this to her to see what she thought. Naturally I wasn't too explicit with the details as I didn't want to traumatised her. She still put her paws over her ears, made crying noise and demanded to go outside where she was promptly sick on the grass. She is now lying having a rest on her bed and is refusing her walk. 🦮🐕🦮🐕🦮🐕😝😱🤮 Seriously op. That is awful behaviour, on the part of the human I mean, and if I were you I would be considering whether I can go on with the relationship. A man so insensitive that he can't see, without being told, that this would like be offensive to any woman..💐

These types of posts turn up with tedious regularity, I can only imagine the long winter nights must fly by in the basements of these creative geniuses.

KaleidoscopeSmile · 16/11/2025 10:58

Agreed. That was the most try-hard post I've read in a while. I dunno about the bloke or the dog but the poster's given me the "ick"

All the dramatics when telling the story !!!

If sex is good & you get on well I’d see him again
Just go around your place next time , simple 🤷🏻‍♀️ .
Also would tell him you’re not going to his unless he controls his dog !!!
And tell him you got the ick & that’s why you left .
