Anyone else secretly hoping their neighbours put up their christmas decorations up now?

I know i know its still november but its going quick and i dont want to wait till december to put my decs up but also dont want to be the first on my street 😅

Anyone else waiting for their neighbours to go first or just me?

Some of my neighbours already have.

Noo I'd rather no one put them up till the last weekend of Novemeber at the earliest.

November is still Autumn in my head. Its not even that cold yet in the SE.

No! Much much much too early. Makes the excitement of Christmas peak weeks before Christmas Day.

Opposite have got a Christmas tree in the window. Friends did outside lights today. Completely ridiculous, it's early November. Winter officially starts on the 21st December.. went out for lunch today, the cafe had chocolate nests with little sugar eggs!

I would like a little more time of the cosy, orange light we have now. I love seeing people's indoor lights on at night; it's so cosy. There is a house near me that has a beautiful tree growing right next to a glowing warm orange street light and the sight of it is just so Autumnal.

When all the Christmas lights go on, it detracts from this a bit.

You think that's bad? There are poppy wreaths at the local cenotaph; there's almost an entire year until November 11th 🙄

Don’t you want to enjoy autumn a bit longer? It’s not even winter yet! Surely any tree that goes up this early indoors will be bare come Christmas?

A few on our street have them on already. I think it's lovely, I think of them as winter lights not Christmas lights.

A house a few streets away from me has the big Santa/snowman inflatables up in their garden! Another further down from them still has Halloween inflatables up 🙈 I'm itching to make a start but it feels too soon.. definitely too soon for fricken massive inflatables on show anyway, atleast pretend to be holding back this soon, some people have no decorum 😁

I'll never be the first to have my tree up but I'll likely be a close second after the neighbours across the road do theirs 🤣
I'll be subtly bringing things out after the weekend, tree will be going up very late November/early December... But yes... My guilty pleasure with these dark evenings... is looking through people's windows as we're out in the car, seeing who's made an early start and what style they've gone for... I swear I'm not a creep... Ok maybe just a Christmas Creep.

No! I'd be bored stiff with Christmas if it started so soon. It's not the season yet.

We would normally put ours up this weekend but we’re getting work done in the house so it will be next weekend. Can’t wait!

Mines been up since last friday. My neighbours put theirs up on the first 🎄🎄

Mine will go up on the 18th December. But I love that my neighbours go early. Gets me and DS out walking despite the cold and dark.
