Neighbour heard everything!

So I have been divorced a year and have been talking to a guy for a good while (we have met a few times prior to this) anyway, we ended up back to my house one night and my neighbour heard the whole thing. To the point where she knocked on the wall. I want to die of embarrassment, I saw her the other morning and she usually says hi, nothing, I think she now hates me.

Maybe be a better person and apologise for the noise. You probably woke her, I’d be pissed too if my neighbours screeching woke me.

Pop on some Barry White next time, job's a good 'un.

Or replace your squeaky bed.

Or bite your knuckles.

Don't worry, it will blow over.

I heard my neighbour's best friend banging her husband when she was in hospital.

🫨

Omg, that's just awful if that's true.

SpicyRedRobin · 13/11/2025 09:01

Maybe you grew up thinking it was normal for your parents to bang loudly all night and grunt and squeal for everyone to hear but for everyone else it's understood as a private act.

People who have to be OTT and howl and gobble all night are not titillating their neighbours or having them grin at each other in delight you're getting shag. No one wants to hear that or be kept up listening to it. The ideal neighbour is practically invisible.

CalmShaker · 13/11/2025 09:39

I really wouldn't worry , they most likely thought it was the central heating and probably you misheard them tapping the wall. What made you think they are getting funny with you?

I'm amazed at the low quality of some people's adjoining walls too, I've lived in various houses (sometimes attached) and never any noise apart from non lagged water pipes sometimes.

This was a few weeks ago now, thought it would have blown over tbh

Fuck her.
Keep enjoying yourself

You were in the privacy of your own home, it was a one-off occurrence. I think she needs to pull out that rod from her backside, quite frankly. She is a neighbour, so I understand you need to see her but to be honest she is being unreasonable and she's not exactly worried about how she's now making you feel is she? Or how she is maintaining her relationship with you. If I were you, I'd just write her off and still be civil. The more embarrassed you act around her, the more of a power-trip she will probably have from this situation

OMG!! Did you tell neighbour?

Bluecrystal2 · 14/11/2025 08:56

No, because she was the worst neighbour I've ever had.

I heard her crying all night on her return from hospital and the husband moved out soon after. The best friend just stopped calling and she died about 6 months after this. I don't how she found out.

So how do the alleged 'can't help being noisy' love makers, do it near their kids bedrooms?

I know. It’s horrible isn’t it? Imagine how mortifying to hear your parents at it! I think most decent parents keep it quiet and those that don’t are just awful parents

To be honest, you do sound like you're quite titillated. Calm down.

I'm in my 30's and out of a group of 7 I am the only one who has never heard their parents 🤢 every single one of my friends has heard theirs

I agree, their awful parents, it's disgusting

Some people can't help themselves. My DH tends to make a lot of noise when 'in the moment' telling God & 'The Lord' that he's coming etc. I find this very sexy & it usually triggers me to cum as well. When we had children at home I used to cover his mouth to stifle him or he'd press his head into the pillow which was a bit of a passion killer for me. These days when we're away in hotels I make a joke that if people complain I'll just tell them that he's very religious & tends to get enthusiastic about his night-time (or morning) prayers. If the hotel objects, we won't go there again. I have no problem with this as DH is 73 now & I'm 63 & many people of our age don't have a sex life. My attitude is 'living the life baby' you're just jealous because I'm still having excellent sex at my age - woop-woop😋

We had this in a converted house we lived in, the first neighbour did it on a weekend we could cope with. The new neighbours did it thrthe week. I must admit I banged on the ceiling as it sounded like she was being murdered. They just smiled at us when we saw them and we smiled back reeling inside, we told the landlord to sound proof our flat he just laughed. We moved months after, I didn't want my kids hearing that but you are entitled to a sex life, I would take a bottle of wine round and say sorry or leave it with a note on her doorstep.
