Surely I'm not being unreasonable here? There are 200 people squashed together already, why make it any more unpleasant than it has to be. Both of these things happened on my flight today.

Haven't been on a plane for ten years - I'm shocked to hear this is becoming so commonplace, I recall if anyone watched the in-flight films they always did it through headphones. Totally agree - seems obvious to have a 'headphones only' policy - ridiculous that they don't have this!

Nail varnish has a strong and unpleasant smell in confined spaces and is a known migraine trigger. Using it in an enclosed space is rather antisocial and selfish. I would suggest anyone considering painting their nails because they just can’t wait until the flight is over instead grab a glass of wine themselves and calm down. The urge to varnish will pass.
