Am I being unreasonable here?? Iv been busy with the kids all day while partner been at work 6-2 so Iv had two kids home all day then picked the rest up from school been rushed off my feet since they got home then just made 8 kids dinners then made the baby a bottle and came sat down and said do you need me to get him his response “what now he’s asleep” so I said eh I’ll happily sit on my backside holding the baby whilst you do everything else I don’t mind he obviously didn’t respond but it’s annoyed me sooo much

So hes done an 8 hour day, whilst your 16 hour day obviously is of no comparison.

You are enabling his weaponized incompetence though by acceptance. If he is "allowed" unfettered to sit in his arse whilst you run around doing everything for everyone... i dont doubt he will continue to sit on his arse.

But you're so much better at childcare and looking after the house... you know what they need, you know what needs doing... blah...

Did your DP suggest the DC had friends over for supper? If so, he certainly should have been the one catering for them.

I don't think any parent particularly wants extra kids over, but you do it for the kids. So I think that's a moot point.

I offered to get the baby because he’s been cranky due to teething and he was holding him when I was busy

My question was about my parent I didn’t complain about running around after the children I complained about his reaction nevermind I’d rather not respond as I feel your being rude and judgemental have a good day

I didn’t say he was lazing around I said he was holding the baby I was all day then doing stuff for kids after school until I offered to get the baby my issue was his reaction when I offered to get the baby my point is I’d happily sit on my backside holding the baby whilst he did everything for the kids
