How far is too far?

Brooklyn has missed his Dad’s 50th birthday celebrations (in London, Cotswolds and Miami).

His mums Netflix premier and family summer holiday to Italy, instead going to South of France.

Crucially, his Dads Knighthood.

Of course we don’t know at this point if he was in fact invited to Windsor Castle given his no shows elsewhere.

Have you had a family feud, with a parent or sibling notably. How long did it go on for, what did you miss of one another’s and is it still going and why?

AIBU to think Brooklyn is going to regret this one day.

It's very sad when this happens in families.

The entire Peltz family seems like a nightmare. They sued their own wedding planners and were counter-sued and came off as absolute basket cases. Brooklyn seems easily led and will probably regret this.

When DH had his appointment at Buckingham Palace he could only take two guests.

I don’t automatically jump to Brooklyn and Nicola being the problem because DH and I had a few years where we didn’t see MIL and FIL for very long and complicated reasons that were best for us and our family at the time. We are aware that we were painted as the ‘bad guys’ but we definitely weren’t and even though we have been on good terms again for years now other people will still bring it up to us like we were at fault when they only had one side of the story.

I’m no-contact with most of my family. Pretty sure I’m seen as the bad one, but that’s fine with me as long as I get some peace.

I can’t get aerated about “missing a family holiday”, it’s not like they’ve scrimped and saved for two weeks in Tenerife. They could go on holiday every other week for the rest of their lives.

The other three children were there and his parents.

None of the kids were there. His parents and wife were.

You are being wildly unreasonable to know this info, let alone care, unless you're a close relative.

This situation makes me feel sad (I am over invested- I know).

I hope they are able to sort this out whatever the issue is. Wonder if he in contact with any of this siblings.

I don’t follow the Beckhams, or any other celebrities, but I’m willing to bet a lot of what you think you know about this situation is entirely made up by the press.

It is a real shame, Brooklyn seems like he is a bit simple, and his fiercely ambitious wife may tire of him one day. Hopefully he hasn't completely burnt his bridges with his parents and sibings as he may need them one day, or may not - who knows, or thinking about it genuinely cares!

Why do you care though? They're not your family. It has no impact on your life. It's none of your business. I don't get why this is interesting?

If so why on earth would the beautiful, not ‘simple’, daughter of a billionaire fall in love with & marry him?

Did you read the post? I asked if anyone else was in this situation. How far is too far. Etc. I happen to be NC with a family member and it resonated. It’s a discussion forum, why does anyone care about anyone else’s business full stop. Especially given many posts are fabricated.

Do you go on every family holiday with your parents?

You only have to read one sentence of one article to see the roll call of milestone events he’s missed… hardly need to be a close relative, after all, there are multiple social media posts feeding the online tabloid press, so if we don’t read it, we see it.

Every newspaper article and website I’ve seen say just his parents and wife were there.

He's a grown man, why would he be going on holiday with his parents? Also agree there will have been limited numbers , Google suggests three.
