To ask which songs stopped you in your tracks the first time heard you them?

Was listening to some music today and after my playlist was finished Spotify went off on its own little algorithm-y journey, and I suddenly found myself listening to a song so beautiful I had it on repeat for about an hour. That sort of thing happens to me very rarely, so I thought I’d see if anyone else could recommend songs that have struck them in a similar way.

Completely agree with K-Pop Demon Hunters songs! I experienced frisson with that one you mention really strongly.

All of the above definitely stopped me in my tracks, I had frisson to some degree with all of them, the K-Pop Demon Hunters one and Lana Del Rey's had me in tears!

Ed Sheeran Small Bump left me a blubbering wreck on my first listen.

Scorpions Wind of Change. Travel alot in Eastern Europe and when I first heard this song I thought it hit the sentiment of that time exactly. Fantastic song.

I remember playing Nights in White Satin over and over as a lovestruck teenager. It's such a passionate song

Probably a little unknown but absolutely gorgeous. It came up on my indie Spotify list one day at work and I just stopped and absorbed the lushness of it all

I just thought of another one. Down to Zero by Joan Armatrading. The lyrics were so relatable. Her voice was like melted chocolate, and the musical style was unique. It blew me away.
