I won't name names but a celeb benefit cheat claimed the UC forms were too hard to fill out and she found it difficulty to understand the forms etc.

Think she has a second home (Owned by a few family members) but received £20+k

These weren't pip or any disability benefits.

And your question is "AIBU to think she is a liar?" Is that fair?

If that is your question, then I suppose if a court of law has convicted the individual of fraud, then given the definition of fraud, its not too much of an extension to call said person a liar.

But I'm not sure the reason for the smoke and mirrors in the question.

But OP, a prevailing view on MN is that there is close to zero benefit fraud, and that everyone who receives it are angels, and we should never snitch, question, or say anything less than sweetness's against them.

This is old news - it was widely referred to in the media during the court case for her outrageous maintenance demands. The judge in that case also made reference to it.

Just trying not to name her because it's not about her. It's about those who do it.

She was convicted so will have been suitably punished. Not a fan of hers but surely that's case closed?

Why all this faux concern about not wanting to direct "hate" her way? It is a six year old case. Why not just start a thread about benefit cheats? Or are you worried some people will accuse you of benefits bashing?
