I won't name names but a celeb benefit cheat claimed the UC forms were too hard to fill out and she found it difficulty to understand the forms etc.

Think she has a second home (Owned by a few family members) but received £20+k

These weren't pip or any disability benefits.

I have no idea who the op is talking about, and I suspect that the title ‘celeb’ is doing some very heavy lifting, but I would have even less of an idea had the op not started a thread. So by starting a thread the op is directing ‘hate’ with this faux concern from people who wouldn’t know this woman if she stood up in their soup.

If the court convicted her she's presumably had to (or has to) pay it back, over and done with. Not our business.

Some people in the entertainment industry did go through hard times during lockdown, they couldn't get work and weren't rolling in it, same as anyone else.

She may well own a second home with family members but that doesn't mean it was making money and it costs to maintain an empty house.

How do you know what benefits a 'celebrity' is on, and what their exact personal circumstances are? I don't even know that shit about close members of my own family.

Well I’ve googled her and as far as I can tell she’s someone with no discernible talent other that wearing bikinis and getting lip filler. Quite how that qualifies someone as a celebrity these days I don’t know.

Seems that she claimed she was living alone whilst in fact co-habiting with someone else.

DWP are pretty rigid on expecting that if someone co-habits, their partner will be contributing a fair share to the household income.

However as many women evidence on here, this is a long way from an accurate assumption in every case!

So not only would you not name who it is (Lauryn Goodman) you've also not got the details of the case right either.

Also this has come to light in the media again recently because she's having a fight with her ex partner over child maintenance, and his team have used that benefit fraud conviction from 2019 (where she was found guilty and was punished) to further their case.
