I am guessing 11 stone. Your figure looks great don't be skinny. Life will be so boring.

I really struggle with not feeling good or pretty enough and when someone asked me what size my dress was she said she thought it would've been at least a 16 not a 10.

That person was being an ahole. You absolutely do not look “at least” a size 16. I’d have said size 12 at most.

Well, knowing that my workspace on top of my kitchen cupboards are 845-850mm above floor level and that I'm 1750mm tall, I'm guessing that we are approximately the same height ... 1.75 metres (about 5' 9" to 5' 9.5" in old measurements.

I'd guess that as you look lean, maybe small-medium build, you'd have a mass of 56-59kg.

So, what height and mass are you in real life?

Anywhere between 10 & 15 stone.

There's no way she's 15 stone.

You're tall that's why you can fit into size 10 clothes comfortably. You have a lovely figure please don't change. We all have different body shapes and heights that fit into different sizes.

tealsea · 22/10/2025 23:14

I'm not a million miles off your measurements (5ft9 and 10stone10) but I AM a size 16 so people really do carry weight differently. To be size 12 I need to weigh about 9 stone and to be size 10 I am bordering on underweight.

LightDrizzle · 22/10/2025 23:14

Size 10. Slim.

Senseandsensitivity · 22/10/2025 23:15

I havent read all, but i thought probably a size 10 around 10 stone

VivienneDelacroix · 22/10/2025 23:17

These threads are always eye opening. All of these 11 stone, sz12 answers... I'm 5ft7 and at 11 stone world be a Sz16. I'm currently 10 stone and a Sz14. At 9.5 stone I might just about be a 12, but a comfy 12 at 9st. At 8.5 stone I was a bigger sz 10.

Cute that you'd go to all that trouble to work out countertop heights instead of just reading what the OP wrote 😂

Not to be rude, but is suspect thats because you appear to have (quite attractive) full boobs, that may look bigger in that high necked dress giving the illusion the dress would be bigger than it is in the bust.

But dress size aside (you dont like a size 16 though) youve a lovely, slim but nice shaped figure

Sounds like someone catty who was trying to put you down. I was going to guess size 10 and 60kg (9st6lb). Bet they’re the type of person to also share ‘be kind’ posts on social media!

Letitgoooletitgooo · 22/10/2025 23:31

Size 14 , 12 stones

sunflowersblooming · 22/10/2025 23:31

I’m 5’7, 11.5 stone and size 14, you are significantly slimmer than me so I’d say size 10 and 9.5 stone!

Pretty enough for who and what?

Why are you taking your value from how you look?

I think everyone would do better if they realised we are all a product of our genes and we can't all be stunningly beautiful.

I was cute as a baby and toddler, quite pretty as a small child, bloody awful as a bigger kid and now I'm in my fifties I have about six days a year when I can see what my lover sees in me. The rest of the time I have no time for how I look. My value is I'm good at my job, two people had the support they needed to be fed, helped to bed, some chores done which they might not have got if I'd not gone in on my day off.

We all have our strengths and weaknesses and what you think is attractive might not be what I do but it won't be anything to do with the symmetry of your face.

WatchingTheDetective · 22/10/2025 23:42

Well the person who said that was an absolute bitch. I'd like to know the history behind it. Do you weigh less than them? Have you recently lost weight? You look absolutely lovely and for them to say you are fat shows the problem is with them are not with you.

CuddlyPug · 22/10/2025 23:58

You BMI is around 22 so you are in the healthy weight range. You don't look like size 16 to me.

I'm very slim and life is not at all boring. Plenty of naturally skinny people lead non-boring lives. If you meant that life would be boring if OP tried to lose a load of weight to be slimmer than she already naturally is then I agree, that would be dull, but OP has not said she is unhappy with her weight, but that she struggles to feel good and pretty.

Jumpingthruhoops · 23/10/2025 00:04

From the photo I'd say 10.5 stone, size 10-12?

Why do people come out with this utter bollocks!? I've been v slim my whole life, and it had been anything but 'boring'...

My size changed when I had 4 children and I was very slim myself before I had them. Thanks for sharing.

Pistachiocake · 23/10/2025 00:25

My mum and auntie were the same height, similar weights, but a different dress size and people always thought that the "heavier" one looked slimmer.
So it depends how you carry it, how toned you are etc. As long as you feel healthy and your doctor is happy (if you see one for a medical condition to be monitored), then all's well.

That's exactly what I meant. It was nothing personal to anyone else it was meant only for the op.

RisingSunn · 23/10/2025 00:37

Size 12-14. I am rubbish at weights - so won't bother guessing.

takeadaytomyself2025 · 22/10/2025 20:12

10st 5 and size 10 to 12 depending on shop. I was called fat today and its really got to me :( Most people were pretty spot on

I thought you weighed more because of your height. You are a slim woman. Fwiw, I think the word fat is often just used as a general insult towards women regardless of whether they are overweight or not. They just know it's a way to get to someone.
