Sorry if this is inappropriate. I just saw a clip of him at the Covid Enquiry today. The way the sides of his hair are brushed downwards is odd - but also it looks as if he has no ear? Sorry I can't post a photo as I'm not well as it is (very heavy cold). Can anyone else who has seen the news see what I mean though?

The side of his neck looks red and it looks as if he has lost an ear, or at least the lower part of an ear. This is why the hair is so long, to cover it.

Tbf I see what you mean, OP. It looks like a slightly pink scar running up from the base of his jowel jawline to where the ear ought to be. But given he can hear the questions being asked of him, one must assume he has partial hearing at least.

He looked a lot heavier and his complexion was a strange colour too. Unless that was just my telly.

Alternatively, it must be a war wound from when his own heavy mob visited him in hospital, to tell him “you will back lockdowns and mask mandates, whether you want to, or not”. That’s probably what nearly killed him, not Covid.

I can see what you mean @minvee- his ear looks sort of squared off at the bottom, and the skin below on his cheek is red with what looks like a big scratch underneath the ear.

I got a screen shot but it’s not the best quality; I’d say it looked more obvious in motion. Also, you can’t see his other ear to if they’re both weird. Attached also is a picture of him previously- so he did previously have normal ears.

As an aside, he looks more like a Matt Lucas character than ever. Maybe an ex-Prime Minister in Little Britain who just says whenever vaguely chastised at a series of increasingly serious enquiries.
