If you could wake up tomorrow with a specific singer’s voice, whose would you choose and why?

Inspired by another thread, mine would be Karen Carpenter.

Christina Aguilera. Oh to be able to do that yodelling and have her range.

For me it would be either Alison Moyet or Susanna Hoffs. Obviously showing my age here.

This is Alison Moyet (as one half of Yazoo) singing "Only You" in 1982.

I also remember seeing The Bangles playing at ULU in 1986 (I was studying at UCL at the time).

Susanna Hoffs had an incredible voice back then (and still does). This is the Top of the Pops version from the same year:

But I would also loved to have had the courage to be a singer like Annabella Lwin (who is two years younger than me), especially with the undercut. This is her performing live at Sefton Park, Liverpool in 1982 with Bow Wow Wow.

Although most people may know the group more through this performance on Top of the Pops
