AIBU to be completely done with the Jellycat teabag madness? Honestly, who knew a small stuffed teabag could cause such chaos. The minute they come out, they’re gone – poof – straight into the hands of people who don’t even like them, just want to flog them on Vinted for triple the price.

I wouldn’t even care normally, but my daughter has been utterly brainwashed by this Jellycat cult and now apparently her collection will be incomplete without a pretend teabag. Meanwhile, I’m sat ringing around and scanning social media like a mug while Janice from Kent is selling 5 of them for 65 quid a pop.

And don’t even get me started on the Aldi wooden toys. Blink and you’ve missed them – unless, of course, you want to buy them off someone online who’s decided they’re now luxury limited editions.

Can we not just let kids have toys without turning it into a side hustle? It’s a cuddly teabag, not gold bullion.

the Vinted buyer actually would have paid more as has the extra on top of protection or whatever Vinted call it

guess could have sent it second class so be more like £2.9/3.00

I love Jellycats but the tea bag is poorly designed and a bit shite.

So to end the saga, we found one for RRP in a random little bookshop in the lakes at the weekend.
The lady didn’t do any social media launches, just stuck the stock out as and when they arrived!

There have been crazes for collecting things waaaay before social media!!

Pokemon cards, Tazo's, Pogs (i loved Pogs,i had hundreds!) Tamagotchi just to name a few.

It's fun!! My partner and I still collect Hot Wheels... and we're full grown, childfree adults!

I got scammed by Florence Lumos online for 2 steepys trying to get one for me and one for a friend. Currently with my credit card company for a chargeback 🤦‍♀️

This thread got so unpleasant in so many ways. I came expecting something light-hearted and friendly but it seems even a smiling toy tea-bag can bring out the worst in people.

Slightly late to the party but I found one last month in a church gift shop in london.

They actually have piles of them, and they were flying out the door. Most people wouldn't think to go into a church gift shop. So they kept them in stock for a couple of weeks. Sometimes luck is a factor.

Thankfully you paid on credit card. I always do as well so have comeback

Yeah, I got mine at the saint martin and the fields church gift shop in trafalgar square. I was going to the store / church anyway, and it was just random. She told me they had quite a few in the back, but I would imagine they may be gone by now.

Does anyone know if the Jellycat website is likely to have a restock before Christmas?
I’m after the teabag plus a few more and they are all out of stock so I’m not sure if I should pay to buy from Vinted or hold out to see if restock
