To think Andrew not being able to use his Duke title is just too little too late..

And the way the media is seeing it as worthy of his behaviour just shows how the misogynistic establishment wins. I bet VG was not the only girl either and the Chinese spy not the only dodgy businessman

That entire family is disgusting. Shameless, totally backwards.

Mountbatten , Philip’s affairs now coming out - there’s more to it than just the ‘spare’ issue .

The entire Windsor edifice is riddled with entitlement and abuse. Some coming out - most covered up

What does anyone expect from an establishment built on the belief they have a blood lineage that elevates them above all the other mere mortal beings. That they were hand picked by God to rule over the people of this land, colonise all other lands, thieve anything they bloody want for themselves.. all while the peasants show eternal gratitude for this great sacrifice they make.

No thanks.

Why? He doesn’t deserve respect!

I think the pp was wanting to make the point that Andrew may not longer be a duke (or at least, won't be known as one) but he is still a prince. Which highlights the emptiness of the gesture really.

He loses a few titles but keeps a very important one. And he is publicly disgraced but continues to enjoy his very privileged lifestyle.

Ponoka7 · 19/10/2025 14:29

They need to go after Mandelson as well. It's obvious what the 'yum yum' in the emails meant.

I completely agree with you. Also, it's an example of how risky it is having your Head of State determined by a hereditary monarchy. It could so easily have been Andrew, the corrupt menace to society as the King. The Queen made loads of rules excluding her from all sorts of things. She was apparently a Saint. Can you imagine what Andrew and Sarah would be like.

If Andrew was king, he would have been fine sticking to most of the rules, as he'd have had the money too. Being born as a junior member of the royal family is a weird sort of bind. The only way is down. You've got a lifestyle to maintain, but not really as much money as you'd like to maintain it. So you have to come up with some sort of grift and that tends to come with unsavoury characters. Obviously quite a few of them have succeeded, but most have made trip ups along the way.

Maybe the royal family should stop producing spares and accept that if things don't work out we'd just have to look at more obscure replacements.

Prince Andrew. Please give him his full name.

He is still a prince - no one should forget it, because it's rotten to the absolute core. The king can make it otherwise, of course, but has chosen not to. Instead, there is a token gesture.

The misogyny is deep and thick and even all around the RF.

What a ridiculous comment!

Delighted to hear that he’s being investigated by the Met for misusing his personal protection officer to dig dirt on Virginia Giuffre, the girl he still doesn’t recollect, after illegally acquiring her SS number.
What a prince among men. Not.

But he is. Literally. Still a prince. Sick, huh?

Hear, hear. As sickening as Andrew’s “we’re in this together, we’ll play together again soon” e-mail to Epstein the year after he claims to have cut contact. I don’t understand why they’re not in court already. Hopeful, the Met investigation won’t be scuppered by influential, interested parties with positions to lose.

That day will come, too. Sooner rather than later I suspect when it’s realised that last week’s wheeze won’t stop the public from demanding justice.

DiscoBob · 19/10/2025 14:46

Totally. It's clearly just to shut the press up because VG has a posthumous autobiography out I think. Trying to make out like they are totally shunning him.

It's a joke really. He probably has dirt on the rest of them who are undoubtedly almost as bad.

How does he even have his own independent money? It's not like anyone would ever employ him in any capacity.

I think he should have to live in an HMO with mould growing on the walls and a shared bathroom with twenty seven migrants.

Or alternatively the police could put him in Prison. Like they would've done if he was just a regular tax payer rather than an aristocratic oaf who's never contributed a penny to the good of society.

In fact he makes abolition of the RF seem increasingly reasonable.

Madcats · 19/10/2025 14:50

What I find so odd about the whole Epstein thing is that the only people they seem to have gone after are:
Ghislain (jailed)
Mandelson (a gay bloke, so not especially interested in girls but I concede there might have been other reasons for him to attend parties)
Prince Andrew - allegedly had sex with a 17 year old who claims to have been trafficked.

Who were all the others?

Is it just the UK press that leaves them alone? Does the US have super-injunctions?

Personally I imagine it was the China bestie bloke that was Andrew’s last straw…..

Given that Trump is top of the list, hardly surprising that details are not forthcoming, is it?

Ihateboris · 19/10/2025 14:58

The entire family are money grabbing, entitled, lazy arseholes.

Ihateboris · 19/10/2025 15:00

I know it would never happen, but I truly believe that if we had a referendum today, the majority of people would want to abolish this archaic institution.

AuntiePushpa · 19/10/2025 15:06

I don't think I've seen anyone mention what happens to the allowances? The royal family get huge payouts for existing. Have his been stopped? What about the property, past payments and money made on investing it

Totally imagine more to come. Dp when he heard the news expected Andrew to be leaving the country for some private island but no he’s literally lost his job title for a job he hasn’t done for years and people don’t want him to do. Meaningless and just shows how little the media and the monarchy think his behaviour is worth.

It was going to a private island that started all this 😂

The queen should never have protected him - she’s not the caring, sweet old lady, dedicated to duty that the family’s PR want us to believe.

She was nasty to Diana - a naive, virginal 19 year old when engaged to a 35 year old Charles. She condoned his cheating, covered for Andrew, turned a blind eye to Philip’s dalliances, ignored Mountbatten’s preferences for young boys…. there’s loads of skeletons in their cupboards.

Harry attempted to show the truth compared to the lies and was vilified for it. Ok, he didn’t go the best way about it, but the whole family are a bunch of frauds and treat the public like idiots.

The title of Prince can’t be removed, apparently.
Why did the media say it was Andrew’s decision not to use his titles? He had no say. The King ordered him not to, in no uncertain terms, I bet.

Prince Andrew. Please give him his full name.

Why? He doesn't deserve any respect. Andrew is fine. The papers used to call him Randy Andy... and they weren't wrong were they? Respect is earned not slavishly given to parasites. Unless of course, you are making the point that he will always be a prince, by virtue of his birth, and that cannot be removed. Which I think is a fairly strong political point - he cannot be completely disavowed of everything despite being an utter heel.

Allseeingallknowing · 19/10/2025 16:23

I pity the staff who are designated to work for and wait on Andrew and Sarah.
