My son refused point blank to let me buy him this hoodie we spotted in Markies (M&S). It says "you can and you should". Little fun-sucker claimed he'd worry a creepy man would see him wearing it. I would have so enjoyed smooshing a Mr Whippy into his wee face. His big sister had similar thoughts.
Do you think the designers at Markies have a dark and twisted sense of humour or are we awful people?

In Exeter in the 70s, M&S was often referred to as Markies. My mother worked there and also called it Markies back then.

Back in the 2000s when slogan tees were all the rage I had one from Tammy girl. I liked the colour and design of it, but not the slogan because it didn’t even make any sense. You’ve just reminded me of it! It said, ‘mr softy’
