How many duvet covers do you have for the bed you sleep in?

One here too. I would like to know how big some of your linen cupboards are, I'm picturing some Mitford Hons style cupboard!

We don't have one but I purchased a single wardrobe and shelved it which fits in a weird alcove on dcs room perfectly.

Enko · 17/10/2025 23:48

3 sets now neatly stored on the bedsheet organisers I boight. 4 for the single bed and 5 for the double (that rarely gets use) all nealtly folded makes me feel oddly satisfied

IsThisLifeNow · 17/10/2025 23:49

Way too many! I'm going through a rough patch and trying to cheer myself up with small things that make me smile that aren't food based, but also not roo hideously expensive either.

I am going to stop now and enjoy the ones I have though!

CountryChristmas · 17/10/2025 23:50

For our bed, we have 10.

2 are autumn themed, 2 are Christmas themed and then 6 others. Kids have a similar amount each.

Netcurtainnelly · 17/10/2025 23:50

I've just put the teddy bear fleece bedding on. It's so soft and warm, I love it.

Frillysweetpea · 18/10/2025 00:05

Two that we alternate all the time and a spare one from the previous house (doesn't really 'go'), just in case of illness with vomiting etc. The duvet is the main decorative feature in the room; it's a William Morris design (both the same) in 100% cotton so couldn't imagine having more without breaking the bank!

NewGirlInTown · 18/10/2025 00:12

Eight or nine.
I love bedding .

LibertyLily · 18/10/2025 01:08

Two that are rotated (plus a third that we bought when we'd just completed on this house last year and hadn't decided what colour our bedroom would be).

The two we use are a plain navy 100% cotton and a plain olive 100% linen. We have interesting patterned pillowcases from Society of Wanderers and Sage & Clare, as well as a block printed throw from Doing Goods which mix things up a bit.

The third one is a ditsy Joules floral, but despite being lovely, doesn't go with the style of the room so doesn't get used. It will be charity shopped when I get round to it.

I can't get over how many some people have!

Splat92 · 18/10/2025 01:28

One for each bed in our house

Moresparecashplease · 18/10/2025 01:37

I've got at least 10 .
I like buying new ones but resist the temptation as much as possible because I really don't have any more storage space for bedding - I keep it in underbed storage boxes.

finetuning · 18/10/2025 01:40

Two! Super king in cotton is so expensive, I faint at the thought of multiple sets!

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 18/10/2025 06:44

Three, four if you include the Christmas one

Agree, I was horrified last time I had to buy a new one . I would love to try a linen set of bedding but I am very sensitive to the feel of fabric and don't dare spend the money only to find I hate it!

FridayIsItFridayYet · 18/10/2025 07:22

Two. DC have 3, mainly because I was stuck on gifts one year and saw character ones they'd like. They're all beginning to look rather tired though, apart from the character ones which they've had for 4 or 5 years now, they're over ten years in use and showing it!

I’m finding it crazy that peple

It is, because most of mine were Laura Ashley, Dorma, other brands which are a bit pricey. Usually around £150 for my king size and now I only have 5 sets for that as Ive got rid of quite a lot.

We have 3 sets for the single bed that my OH uses in the week, most of those were dirt cheap and I would like to replace them

We have 2 sets for the spare double that doenst get used a lot. One I bought the other day from Aldi for 15 quid!! Pure brushed cotton. The other was more expensive and I dont like it now so thats going.

I keep buying bedding though, I constantly see new sets I like.

I only buy cotton or linen and that puts the price up

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/10/2025 07:33

3 Wash wear spare

tho I did buy no 4 Thursday off Amazon as was reduced from £20 to £5 and loved it

slept in it last night - tucked in it now 😍 nothing quite like fresh bedding

How many duvet covers?
PersephoneParlormaid · 18/10/2025 07:34

One. Washed and put back on same day.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 18/10/2025 07:34
  1. Had a massive clear out a few years ago though.

I only buy pure cotton but I wouldn't pay more than £30 for a double set. My last set was from Tesco, cost £20 and is absolutely gorgeous. The set I had to throw away when it got too worn was one I bought from a supermarket nearly 20 years ago.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 18/10/2025 07:37

Two. I have two throws that go on top - a lightweight one for summer, heavy one for winter, so I just have plain white duvet covers that get replaced when they need to.

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 18/10/2025 06:44

I was going to say three, but yes we do have a Christmas one too.

LillyPJ · 18/10/2025 07:43

I'm astonished at how many people have said they have a Christmas or festive set! I've never heard of such a thing before and certainly won't be getting one. It sounds really wasteful and unnecessary to me.

MyOliveStork · 18/10/2025 07:46

I have 3 but really just alternate between 2 as not so keen on one of them. Wouldn’t have the storage for 10 and isn’t that just a waste of money??? Why do you need so many?

66babe · 18/10/2025 07:50

I have 2 cotton for summer
2 brushed cotton for now
2 teddy fleece style for winter

Just changed my 7 tog duvet to my 13.5 yesterday as it’s definitely gone colder this week here in East Midlands .
