To now be increasingly concerned about illegal boat arrivals

CalmShaker · 14/10/2025 21:33

I've kept a level head with boat crossing arrivals but recently I've become concerned that there are some really unpleasant people being let in. This story was hard to watch on the news this evening;

Asylum seeker 'murdered hotel worker Rhiannon Whyte in frenzied attack' - BBC News https://share.google/qxzed2MD19TYPKasQ

I welcome genuine asylum but I don't believe that is what is happening anymore.
The story immediately before the above on national news this evening was the migrant who had threatened Nigel Farrage. I know Nigel is not the most popular of people but the migrant was horrid, clearly dangerous and not safe to be on our streets.
Financial cost and all other factors aside, it's the safety aspect that worry me most.

I did lol at that one. It’s getting comical really.

Immigration officer: Soooo, what does the rifle tattoo on your face represent and what’s the story there?

But yes I shouldn’t laugh. As you say sadly some people’s lives are irreversibly changed by these criminals.

Poetnojo · 20/10/2025 21:56

Yeah, I just don't know what it is about these undocumented men coming over and raping little kids that just seems to get peoples backs up.

💯 I feel sick. It is one incident after another, only the most depraved stories makes the media.
Sadly it was only a matter of time and it will continue without change.

There's absolutely no evidence that asylum seekers and immigrants are more likely to engage in criminal activity than British citizens (quite the opposite in fact).

And you do know they get checked and better as part of their application, don't you? They don't just step off a boat and get ushered into their free mansion. Their details are taken, biometric data collected, interviews conducted, background checks run, etc. Your claim about lack of background checks is disingenuous at best.

There’s ‘no evidence’ because the uk don’t measure it. There is evidence from Sweden because they have measured it.

100% this

They don't get checked in Ireland either, other than finger printed, as mentioned already an asylum seeker murdered by another had been previously deported from Italy for rape to Nigeria, yet he was living in a hotel in Dublin receiving a payment as a registered IP applicant.
Madness.

That's just not true. There's plenty of stats from Germany and surrounding countries and there are specific countries with high numbers of asylum seekers, eg Afghanistan and Syria, that are hugely over-represented, particularly in regards to rape and sexual assaults.

Thank you for this.

So much stuff in Germany has been swept under the carpet for years (and the mainstream media was totally complicit in this) but nobody can deny it anymore.

Although the apologists still do. As seen on here.

I've actually got some graphs saved specifically for such debates.

pinkstripeycat · 20/10/2025 22:46

This isn’t new OP. DH has been a Police officer for 20 years. In the last 8 years the 3 migrant hotels in the town he works in have been full of young men. He said they fight all the time, there are weekly knife attacks on each other, they are always smashing the hotels up.
The hotels get fixed pretty immediately. He said there have been countless attacks on women and girls.
The migrants hang around the 10 different senior schools gates so the schools have all had to employ security guards. At schools! They have jumped the fences at one school and tried to grab teenage girls. They are a dangerous bunch!

DH said the last 18 months have been the absolute worst with the cells at the police station being full all the time with a constant round of illegal migrants who smear poo around the cell walls and they never get charged by the crown prosecutor. They just get taken back to the hotels

They are dangerous.

Democracy works. We will as a nation solve the problem of these illegals - don't worry. In the meantime be careful. Thre are a lot of unvetted people coming here illegally never mind a massive issue over 1.1m legal people coing here last year and 1.3m the year before - vast vast numbers the like of which we have never seen which affect some of us almost every day. I am now on night FOUR of continuous fireworks all over the place right by me from people who are so selfish they think their cultures should be imposed and their noise.

We're all in this together, such a massive mess, at least we have each other for company. We bloody need it.

SpaceRaccoon · 21/10/2025 07:38

@ConstitutionHill here you go - might take a while to be visible as they're images.
The sources are all stated at the bottom and will mostly be from the country's own government stats.

Yes and we get a lot of posts on how databases or the DA etc would help. It’s incorrect and a lot of the time misinformation. Which is so bad given the media back it up, eg the BBC I heard a talk from top presenter repeating these falsehoods.

SpaceRaccoon · 21/10/2025 08:27

The problem is, how do you tell? Someone arrives from Nigeria saying they're a persecuted Christian (and it's very bad there at present) - are they? Or are they in fact one of the persecutors, or just unaffected?
And of course we want to help those poor people being butchered for their faith, but there are plenty of others who would exploit that compassion.
I don't know what the answer is.

Newbutoldfather · 21/10/2025 08:34

There are two sides to this, and your social media will just amplify what you already believe.

Most asylum seekers want asylum and to become productive members of the community.

On the other hand, a sizeable minority will be criminals or, at the very least, have a different moral compass. And they mostly are young men, the most dangerous (but also productive) members of the community.

We need to manage them dispassionately, neither exaggerating the harm they no nor trying to disguise it.

We need to keep them and the community safe. This should mean a much faster process and the ability to rapidly deport those whose asylum claims are rejected.

How can you check for the criminal / dangerous part?

AInightingale · 21/10/2025 08:45

Well, they aren't 'asylum seekers' In Ireland. Very few are. The gates were flung open, and legions of chancers and drifters from every corner of the earth poured in. They were invited to come by Roddy O'Gorman, they flew in on passports and many pf these documents were destroyed by the time they passed through immigration.

@ConstitutionHill here you go - might take a while to be visible as they're images.
The sources are all stated at the bottom and will mostly be from the country's own government stats.

I truely hate the contemporary woke middle class ( white) left as they are clearly the worst people on earth In that that they are the most privileged in human history and stand for nothing.
And happy to destroy anything good about this history or culture whole claiming a moral high ground.

All they have is empty and hollow virtue signalling and language policing to stop any form debate that questions their personal comfort. Perpetually Self congratulating and smug whilst not able to accept nuance or concieve of someone's world view that isnt their own - without making that 'bad' and 'dangerous'- the black and white binary they claim to hate . these idiots are literally the twat fascists they are scared of their own 'shadow' ( literally, bc they refuse their own 'darkness' or anything that isn't service level 'kind')

If they did have any integrity they could connect dots between these issues without claiming 'race'

It's neo liberalism you utter cunts the same thing that made your cheating husbands and self righteous children suddenly rich in the last 40years

Instead they want to smugly point out your 'racism' is offending them, while they reduce the subject to skin colour bc they can't interact with the idea in any other way- now no one else can. Again, reducing it to a 'black/white/good/bad' binary and produce circular arguments and downwards spiral.

Whilst claiming to be Marxists and say the workers of the world will rise up ' the working class are quite vocal- but their not saying the right thing...

and anyone who claims ' we need immigration because of cheap labour' - THAT IS FUCKING RACIST !!!
why should other races be okay with doing shit jobs and creating another class system.

How about listening to workers when they strike agasint bad/dangerous working conditions - instead of undercutting them with ' cheap labour '

Cheap fucking labour is no way to describe a fucking human and how long before your cheap fucking labour realises they'd rather form a union as well.
