To ask if most straight men are attracted much younger women?

Had a depressing moment at work today, male colleague played a Jimmy Carr stand-up clip on his phone and it went along the lines of “if I had to pick my favourite child it would be my neighbour’s hot daughter.” The other men with him laughed at it. I couldn’t help feeling a bit nauseous and it’s made me question whether many older straight men actually do fantasise about girls in their late teens or whatever. Perhaps I have been naive to think it was something that just appealed to a minority of perverts. One or two of them have daughters too and it just strikes me as odd that they could even laugh at a joke like that. Am I naive to feel this way?

Wow!

Next you'll be asking if it's really true that we are attracted wealthy men . . .

Of course man are attracted to younger women. Why the fuck do you think the UK cosmetics industry is worth 30 Billion annually. Do you think we are spending all that money on products to look older!

We want to look younger. We think youth is attractive. We spend thousands each year on products and procedures in an attempt to keep ourselves from looking our actual age.

I really question the motivation of OP's who pose questions like this. What the fuck do people think men are attracted to?

If I could look 19 again I would. And so would any of you. Even the OP. And there isn't a man on the planet that would think

"nah! . . . I prefer old and saggy"!

You do realise that older women are not automatically old and saggy. Similarly, not all 19 year olds are attractive.

I know a few saggy expanding 19 year olds, the spandex leggings show everything, holding it together, heavy makeup, huge lips.

Beautiful people will always be attractive throughout their life.

Name changed for this.
As a straight man, I have to answer "Yes they are."
There might be exceptions, but I can only say I have never met one.

When I was at school in year 10 two girls in my class were dating a couple of men who were 26. The girls were only 15. Its sick. One of them is still with the guy to this day. 11 years is of course fine when you’re both older. But not when one is a school girl.

People are also far less sympathetic when women are the ones wielding the abuse of power like Brittany Zamora

Sicko teacher who had sex with boy, 13, in classroom has new job — behind bars

She started in April, just months after completing prison courses on family ties, self-control, and social values, the inmate records show.

If they're still together now, wouldn't that make the relationship a success?

This thread shows how so many are sadly lacking in critical thinking skills. It's more fun to rant about all men being disgusting sex perverts, rather than acknowledge the more ancient parts of their brains are simply receiving and reacting to information being communicated to them, as millions of years of evolution have programmed them to.

Ohhh, of course. Men and their poor old ancient brains. Let’s feel so sorry for them.

Or let’s accept that we now live in a society where many of us wouldn’t have lived at all without modern medicine and civilisation.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 09/10/2025 12:01

I did imagine myself holding a sword, poking out the eyes of the men ogling my DD aged 16 in Spain recently, she looks much younger too. Wearing a nice flower dress with sandals. Weirdo's. 🤮

Who knows? The girl in question had SEN.

I’d be fuming if my 16 year old autistic dd was being taken for a ride by a 26 year old man.

TattooStan · 09/10/2025 12:02

My husband likes women around his age. It comes across in lots of things he says and does, the celebrities he thinks are attractive, even the porn he watches. He obviously thinks beautiful young women are beautiful - they are - I think hot young men are hot. But he wouldn't lust after one.

So, why have you name changed? Are you ashamed of yourself?

Also do you ask male friends if they fancy 15 year olds? That must be an odd conversation.

It's a bit like asking a woman if she'd get with someone for his money. The answer is yes, but no one likes the image associated with it so it's one of those things people think but don't say.

IShouldNotCoco · 09/10/2025 12:06

The answer isn’t yes for everyone.

IShouldNotCoco · 09/10/2025 12:07

I’ve had the opportunity to be with a man for money - I didn’t take it.

And this society, or any other, wouldn't exist at all if it weren't for early men's (and women's) reproductive strategies. If males favoured pairing up females well into their 20s and 30s and females mated with the friendliest, gentlest males, rather than powerful ones with the most resources, Homo Sapiens, or one of its progenitors, would be long extinct. Evolution has specifically selected for the traits that you now find so detestable. Can you really not see this?

freakingscared · 09/10/2025 12:12

I can’t speak for most men , we have a 44 year old relative dating a 23 year old currently and my husband was quite put out of by it . While on the phone to another relative without me present ( I was having a shower and had just come down ) I heard him say “ what is wrong with him , I could never date someone as young “ . He truly seemed to not get hey he would do it , so I’m not sure most men would pipe like a younger partner . Maybe attracted to them yes but I think most mature men realise a relationship is more than that ?

But someone who is still beautiful at 50 isn't as beautiful as they were at 20.

I'm 34, I know I'm not as beautiful as I was ten years ago and I know I will be less beautiful than I am now in another 10 years time. That's just the reality of aging.

'Beautiful people will always be attractive throughout their life.' To who? Because men are definitely not looking a white haired old ladies and thinking 'smash!' unless they are the same age or older.

The majority of men would still choose to sleep with an average looking 19 year old over an attractive 40 year old. Even a 40 year old woman who takes care of herself still looks 40. It's their youth they're attracted to, not their sense of style.

Quite a few delusional older women on this thread. And I am an older woman.

It also makes no evolutionary sense for women to get with some brute who's gonna hurt her and leave her. Men must be kind, competent, assertive, and social rather than cold and violent. Common redpiller type mistake in reasoning.

JLou08 · 09/10/2025 12:33

IShouldNotCoco · 09/10/2025 03:59

Hmm. I don’t think so - you’ve bought into their delusions 🤣

Most men start to get receding hair as soon as they approach 30 (it’s amazing how an hairline can make such a difference to how hot a guy is but it does) and most men in their 50s have beer bellies, a reddening face and their noses get fatter. You very rarely see an older man who doesn’t have a dad bod. It’s just that some men are deluded and think they are entitled to date rich, 25 year old supermodels no matter what.

This idea that ‘men age like fine wine and women age like milk’ is a misogynistic trope, no doubt designed by a man somewhere to keep women in their places.

I agree. I think people are thinking George Clooney, Martin Kemp etc when they think about men ageing well but there are plenty, probably more, older female celebs who are beautiful. I'd say in the general public older women do look much better than men.

MidnightMeltdown · 09/10/2025 12:38

IAmThePrettiestManOnMyIsland · 09/10/2025 11:46

Correct, men are more visual than women, but there is no way the majority of men are salivating over skinny 15 year old girls. That is paedophilia.

However, they are looking at women in their 20s and 30s with attraction. I've lost count of the number of articles I have seen on women feeling 'invisible' when they hit 50 and how some of us embrace it whilst others lament youth lost.

No it’s not paedophillia. Paedophillia is an attraction to prepubescent child. A 15 year old is adult from a biological perspective and men are hardwired to be attracted to them.

But we know that many women do favour brutes who have the physical means to protect them and their offspring. If this trait did not facilitate reproductive success, it would have been selected against eons ago. That’s not red pill logic, it’s a scientific fact.

LEWWW · 09/10/2025 12:39

If it was socially acceptable/not illegal a lot of men no matter their age would sleep with children over women their own age…When I was 14 a lot of girls had boyfriends in their 20s…utterly grim.

I think most men are attracted to post pubescent young women who may or may not be over 18. To some extent that is just biology and not creepy in and of itself. What is creepy is if they try to act on it, make comments, leer etc.

I did read that when analysing online dating activity men of all ages engaged more with profiles of young women aged 20 - 24 than of women their own age if they were older (40's,50's etc) even if they included women their own age in their search. They also spent longer messaging and replying to women in that age range as opposed to women their own age. On the other hand women tended to prefer men their own age up until they hit their early 40's whereafter they preferred slightly younger men.

As for Jimmy Carr he has been with his 50 year old wife for 25 years and he is 53 so she is age appropriate for him. He was just making a cheap, tasteless joke which par for the course with him.
